GTPlanet, hi again. Hola otra vez.

Well obviously, many of us are Gran Turismo fans and may have played other racing games. Some were good, some were different, some were weird, some were strange. But this time, this is a first for my threads. So tell me, GTPlanet, and the world, what the WORST racing game ever created and why (optional)?

Allow me to begin. Thank you.

To me, the worst racing game I ever played was Thunder Truck Rally. Why TTR? The game is bland on so many levels. There are only 8 tracks to this PS1 game, unoriginal trucks, and the quality sucks. The game is pretty slow compared to Ridge Racer classic, for starters. Usually, monster trucks love to fly around outdoors. Well in this game, you have some nice jumps. But you have to conserve your suspension. You have to basically slow down at the jumps in order to conserve your suspension. Because when you lost them, it was over. And then, if you get caught, a helicopter comes by and lifts you up, but this takes a lot of time. And don't worry about difficulty. Set it to easy, you're in front. Set it to hard, you're in the back. And with 6 to 8 people to race against, climbing up the pack shouldn't be too much of a chore.

Bland graphics, sucky execution, some sorry music, and... if I were X-play, I'd give this old game a "1 out of 5."

Oh man I played some F1 game called F1-something-or-another. It was a birthday gift from my father-in-law. I broke it out with him over and man I had to fake it so bad. Fake thinking it was romotely worth playing. The graphics sucked and this annoying guy with what I guess was supposed to be an Australian accent kept barking things at me. I think it was supposed to be coaching and encouragement in the training phase. But his reportoire ran out pretty quickly and it got repetitive. So after my father-in-law left I never played it again. I will admit the Australian GP course seemed accurate. That game really renewed my appreciation for GT. I doubt I even have it any more.

Big Rigs: Over the Road Racing has to be the worst racing game of all time. This game must have been made in a week or so cause everything is wrong with it.There is no A.I,the trucks go through the ground, there are no physics, only 2 trucks are available, there is nothing you can do in this game,no missions,no competitors, nothing. The trucks are all wrong, the graphics are worse than those from the Playstation and it came out 4 months ago. This is IMO the worst game of all time.

IMO, the entire Project Gothem Racing series sucked more than a Hoover. The graphics engine was one of which a two year old could design. The tracks were extremely narrow and full of 0 potential. The cars were poorly designed and hard to handle. And the AI was retarded at times and god at others. I'm surprised that Microshaft actually released it and didn't throw it in the trash or in a pile of monkey feces.

Now that is utter BS.The game looked better then GT3.It's definetly one of Xbox's top racing games.

I have to agree with you. I bought an x-box just to play the hyped PGR2 and sold them both a week after buying it.

It was almost as boring as Midtown madness 3 that came for free with the X.

From now on I'll stick to PS and GT.

Were you drunk or not wearing your glasses when you played GT?

I'd take GT1 over PGR. No BS.

PGR is Microsoft's crappy attempt to beat Gran Turismo. It fails miserably. While it has nice graphics, it still can't beat Gran Turismo's realism. I'd take the original Gran Turismo over PGR as well.

Initial D: Mountain Vengeance has to be one of the worst racing games. It tunes into that rice boy wannabe type of person who have never driven a car in their life. They are the ones who are actually dumb enough to buy this pile of crap. Auto Modellista and those value priced 'street racing' games rank as some of the worst as well.

IMO I dont think PGR was made to beat Gran Turismo only that it was made to offer a somewhat different way to race.

What do you mean by 'different'? As far as I'm concerned, the only way to race is to beat the other guy. How does PGR have a different way to race?

What I mean is in GT do you race for Kudos? No. I'm getting tired of seeing people bash on PGR for not being like GT. GT is a racing sim. PGR isnt. Its an arcade racer.

I think it depends on how you play PGR.

Scenario 1:
You compare everything about the game to GT and end up hating it in a matter of minutes.

Scenario 2:
You play the game for what it is, pick out the good parts (the kudos system rocks), and enjoy it.

I must say that Need For Speed Underground is one of the gayest racing games ever created, considering that EA Games made it. God I hate NOS faggots. Body kits are uggggggggly.

Wow, forgot that one as well. How about the Dukes of Hazzard game? Wow, that sucked IMO. I beat that game in only an hour, how short.

Yes that game did suck. I'm glad I only rented that game. I'd be even more pissed if I bought that damn thing.

Here are the poser games. NFSU, Midnight CLub 1 and 2
and Dukes of HAzzard. THEY shud all be named Gayest Racing games of the year. I hate NOS, who here hates NOS?
I would think anyone who liked Fast and Furious and 2f2f are all ricer fags who are wannabes. Can I order a poser with a bit of NOS on top of dat?

Have you seen the Hooters racing? :yuck:

I have another one, that Crash Bandicoot racing, a stupid mock-up for Mario Kart. :yuck:

BTW, I like NFS:U, I tried to make my RSX Type-S a 'Sleeper Type'. But the stupid game wouldn't let me, so I was forced to riced and NOS it up which it sucks. :yuck:

Ricing up a car is not my thing, check my profile on top of my avatar. :)

Why you doirty little...! :irked: j/k ;)

For real though, I think that game was quite a hit among PSOne players who could care less about what the N64 was up to. It might've looked like a rip-off of Mario Kart, but that's not surprising since every other kart game was also a rip-off of Mario Kart, that game is what started it all when you look at it.

'Crash Team Racing' had massive lasting appeal too, it was the top game of its class until 'Speed Punks' came along. I wouldn't say it was one of the worst.
