Hi all.

As a regular trader in the Marketplace I was wandering if PD introduced a DLC to allow additional trades/day would you pay for it?

In answer to some questions you may have:

The situation of 1 trade per account per day is where we are at.
No I do not work for PD.
Companies have a right to make a profit, you do not have to buy the DLC.

I was thinking say 3 trades for £1.00, what do you think.

Hey if they do not do it now maybe for GT6:tup:

Let me know what you think.

You guys are obsessed. Just remember it's a gift system, not a trading system even if you decide to use it for that purpose. PD have never referred to it as a trading system.

Hell no, I think PD have had more than their fair share from me and once you start with trivial things like this where will it end....

That is true but things evolve.
It is no different to other DLC. You pay for paints and tracks, if you want them.

👍

No.

I'm not willing to pay for extra trade slots because I can't even remember the last time that I traded with someone as opposed to trading at all. Completely useless in my opinion.

Cars and tracks are content that require skill and effort to make. Trade slots aren't. This would just be ridiculous profit gouging. We should have unlimited gifts as it is.

I am willing to pay. 3.00USD is not much now a days.

I personally drink 3.00 worth of Wine a day which is about 1/3 of the bottle or sometimes 2/3 of it .

So giving up a few bottles a week wont be bad at all and my liver would like me more :p

Don't give them ideas. Just how DLC was originally free, then companies saw how much money they could make from leaving stuff out of games then us paying for it.

I know of no other hobby that I could ever enjoy that would be of any rival when costs are factored in.

All other hobbys have put me in way past 3k and highest was over 50k.

Peanuts IMHO...actually peanuts are getting expensive out here.

Maybe you should try drinking less in general 💡 ?

I would say No.

The game is 2 years old, we started without limit...
So taking it away and 1,5 year later introducing it as DLC wouldn't work for me.

Still interesting idea 👍

The problem is you're paying for something of zero value. Going from 1 gift per day to unlimited would take zero effort. PD have actually expended effort in limiting us since the game started off unlimited. I wouldn't just throw away $3, or any amount of money.

If PD (or anyone) wants to charge for something, it needs to be worth it. The 1 gift per day limit is useless and should be removed.

I makes no difference how much it costs compared to whatever other thing you want to compare it to. You're literally asking them to charge you to turn off a restriction that they never should have put on to begin with, which is ridiculous even if it only cost a penny.

At the very beginning of the game, I bought an X2011 for something very small - something like 50p. But this was before the seasonals that enabled a decent of amount of credits to be earnt. I was millions of xp from level 40, and not committed enough to do the Vettel challenge endlessly in order to gold using a pad. It seemed a reasonable thing given the state GT5 was in to get to use a car that seemed to be getting so much coverage in the forums. Ended up auto grinding A-spec races, and using it to steam roller B-spec.

If GT6 happened to repeat these features, then I would probably spend a little again. If the only way was to buy a DLC to enable the trade - then I probably would ... once. Otherwise, absolutely no!

so voted NO!

Thanks.

Just throwing some ideas about.

3 dollars means very little to me but this is something that shouldn't be restricted at all

A firm no from me.

No I'd rather they just removed the limit all together. Some 1.5 years or so after release I think it's time they started thinking about how to keep players interested in the game to keep online portion booming. For that, I think it would be warranted just to make more cars accessible to more people to get/keep more people playing.

I rarely use them now. My vote is a strong no.

Paying to remove a restriction that the company placed there in the first place? That doesn't sound like a good thing at all.

I have never received a single gift in this game. I have sent a few things to some other players to help them get started or to fill their wanted list, but overall, I haven't used it much at all. Through patience, I've managed to get all except for 7 cars from the UCD on my own and those will be coming soon.

The gifting system isn't much value to me as it is and lifting a limit imposed by the company by spending real money seems like a very silly thing to do.

When you state it that way, it really sounds rather underhanded. It's along the lines of mobsters shaking down local business owners for "protection" money when in fact what they're protecting you from is themselves.

They do things to cause a bad situation for you, then tell you that if you pay them the bad situation will go away. It's textbook extortion.

It would be pretty underhanded, if this was something they were actually doing. Thankfully, it only exists in this topic and this is only discussion on a message board.

However, it's not too dissimilar to the tactics that MMO companies use to gouge their customers.

Tired of having to run back to town to sell your loot all of the time? Here, buy more inventory slots/bank slots. Want to create one of every character type? Too bad, unless you pay for extra character slots. All of this on top of the monthly fee that you already pay.

If someone is paying each month to play something, they shouldn't be limited or "encouraged" to pay even more. If the games provided enough inventory space or character slots to begin with, that wouldn't even be an issue, but yet they make millions off people for something they purposely held back from players. Kind of shady in my opinion.

Not all of us our children, you should do your research before knocking someone who drinks wine :sly:

http://m.mensfitness.com/nutrition/what-to-drink/what-makes-red-wine-healthy

Red wine is healthy in moderation (8 oz or a 3rd of the bottle) for the prevention of heart disease in adults..

But back to the OP, I'd gladly pay a one time fee maybe $9.99 - $14.99 for unlimited trade "unlock package" or something like that..

So, let me get this straight:

-You would pay up to 1/4th the cost of a new game, just to make your life easier.

-You would pay that money to "unlock" this feature.

-You would pay this money to the people who "locked" it in the first place and made your life harder.

-And somehow you think this is worth it.

I can't say that I understand your willingness to pay the people who screwed you out of doing what you want to do.
