Yeah, I would choose Bullitt as well. I would feel empowered whenever I drove in a city if I had a mustang of that year range.

An early Mark 1 Mustang or Camaro I can understand, but that thing has less aesthetic appeal to me than an AMC Gremlin, and that says A LOT...

Its got a very Muscle car appearance to it far removed from the softer early Mustangs. I would take '71-'73 before a 65-66 for sure.

I never liked them in photos, but if you've seen one if person, I think they're actually quite cool. Not necessarily pretty, but aggressive with a little elegance mixed in. That said, they are MASSIVE!

Yes they are rather large, in length. Not in height though like you might think.

Height example

I think MII's are the same we well. They look like trash in photos but aren't exactly horrendous in person.

That said...

The Current S197/SN10 Mustangs are around a inch to 2 inches shorter so they aren't that massive

S197 Length 187.6 in (4,770 mm)
SN10 188.1 in (4,780 mm)
71-73 Length 189.5 inches (4,810 mm)

The body style gives them a massive appearance though. They aren't huge by numbers but boy do they stand out in a crowd. I see them quite frequently, and they are like Godzilla over a city...they look humongous and they stick out like a sore thumb. Not that it's a bad thing though.

Lets compare the present 2013 Mustang vs the '71-'73 generation.

2013 Mustang:

Height: 55.6 inches
Width: 73.9 inches
Length: 188.1 inches
Weight: 3,618 lbs

1971-1973 Mustang

Height: 50.1 inches
Width: 74.1 inches
Length: 189.5 inches
Weight: 3,560 lbs

The 2013 Mustang is actually much more of a behemoth than the 1971-1973 Mustangs, weight wise, and they are almost as large, just shy of meeting the same dimensions.

Old Sport Trucks: Syclone since it's likely to go better.

Eleanors: Original is always better so it's the '73 Mach 1 for me.

Old cars: Lotus Cortina without question.

Movie cars: Bullitt, no explanation needed.

Movie Pacers: Wayne's World one is better. Flames are always better.

I love '80s Lambos, but that thing is butt ugly. I'll take the Esprit. Preferably an older one.

Ooh, tough. I love both, but I'd have the Lotus because it's newer and probably a bit more refined, yet still great to drive.

Esprit vs Jalpa - I'll immediately take the Esprit. I'm a die-hard Lotus fan and the Jalpa is just so ugly. The Esprit is also a historical car, whereas I've never heard good words about the Jalpa.

1. Esprit
2. Jalpa

1st, but :yuck: to both. I don't even want to know what they are.

^ This 👍

How could you not fall in love with that Hino's puppy dog eyes? :indiff:

Well, if it actually was a puppy, it'd be quite a different story

I think it's a safe bet that me and you have very, very different taste :)

Esprit vs. Jalpa

I'd rather have the Jalpa...

I think I'm going to take the GS 350. I like the black interior a bit more and it looks a bit more aggressive, which is always a good thing to me :)
