What kind of dribbling, gibbering, pant-wetting, feces-painting, brain-out moron would choose the Supra over an LFA?

Someone who wants to pay about AU$640,000 less for a well-engineered Toyota with some serious power and reliability. Me, for an example.

If you have money where you can choose to buy a Supra or a LFA, you'll go with the LFA. I know I will. Obviously if reliability and affordability is a issue, then the LFA isn't for you.

Nope, if I had $700,000+ to spend on a car I wouldn't buy either, I'd buy a Murcielago LP640. The LF-A is a beautiful car and suits me down to a tee, but it is way, way, WAY too 🤬 expensive for what it is.

Well there will always be better choices, but I brought that up for choice between a Supra and a LFA.

550i vs 740i
The 740i for me, because it doesn't look like a 3-Series that's suffering from water retention. :dopey:

MGB vs Mini
The Mini of course. :)

Supra vs R32
Without a doubt, the Supra, because it's actually legal here, unlike the right hand drive Nissan.

911 vs Fusion/Mondeo
I love the new Fusion; I think it's beautiful, even if it looks like a bigmouth bass. :dunce: But still, a family sedan or a sports car. I'll take the Porsche. :)

2012 Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG Coupe. Brand new, delivery miles. $62,000

or

2005 Mercedes-Benz SL65 AMG Roadster. 45,000 miles. $62,000

C63 AMG vs SL65 AMG - C63 because more space for family. Plus i like the more aggressive look of the C63.

It's the SL's 60th birthday this year. So.. Pictured is next years model. :yuck:. so what would u rather have? A 2012 SL or a 1969 280SL Pagoda for $77k? New SL might cost slightly more. About $20k. But plenty of money left to maintain the Pagoda if things go wrong.

2012 Mercedes SL

1969 Mercedes 280SL. The one i found was $77,425 and had done 11k miles.

I'll take the MGB, it look very unique in my opinion.

Between the R32 and MK4 Supra this is a tough one for me, but if it's built to be legal in the US, I'll take the Godzilla R32 Skyline GTR. :D

I like the Ford, but I can buy it anytime I wanted to, so I'll go with the 911 (996) but if you said a GT3/GT2 I'll take those two any day.

I'll take the 5-series.

C63 AMG hands down!! That car is amazing in GT5 and if I had the cash, where would that car be at? My garage.

BMW 550i or BMW 740i: 550i for me, not really keen on the 7 series
C63 AMG Coupe or SL65 AMG: SL65, seen one on the road yesteday and it looked pretty nice, sounded awesome too but doubt it was stock.
2012 Mercedes SL or 1969 Mercedes 280SL: 280SL, don't like the new sl's to be honest and the front end looks weird, maybe its just the headlights.

BMW 550i or BMW 740i: 550i: Not a fan of the 7
C63 AMG Coupe or SL65 AMG: The C63, it just looks so much better.
2012 Mercedes SL or 1969 Mercedes 280SL: The '12 SL, yes the '69 has the looks, but I could actually use the '12 more.

And the point of the Supra VS the LFA is that the LFA is very nearly the perfect supercar, except for the price. The Supra is (MKIV only) Japan's muscle car along with the GT-Rs. A ton of power, but people forget they can handle and brake quite well. It's the two opposite ends of the Japaneses Supercar range (at 700HP, with suspension upgrades I would say the Supra is a least a Supercar killer)

Doing a bit of thread revival here. This one came up today while mtalking with a friend who has a budget of not much over 10k for a car:

Ford Fiesta (2010-1011) Slightly used (~10k miles)

Subaru legacy (2005-2007) ~60k miles

I'd rather take the Legacy (take it that you meant it's the sedan version). Compared to the Fiesta, I will get more space. The interior is simple compared to the Fiesta but that's just what I like. Overall performance, the Legacy is much better. Fuel consumption? No I think it will fall lose. Finally, it has a design that is pleasing to my eyes and actually, I have a soft spot for the Legacy. It simply is a good car!

Legacy any day of the week.

Tough choice on the trucks, but I'll go with the F250. And give it a twin turbo setup and make a monster truck out of it.

I'll take the '99 Beemer, the late 90's BMW, mostly the 5 series, look real sexy with the boxy yet curvy presence that it brings.

Legacy for me; Fiesta is nowhere in the same league as the Legacy. Even though it has more mileage, the Legacy will probably last longer. Plus the engines they put in the Fiestas are... 🤬
You'll hate the fiesta after a few months.

E39, no question. The E46 is good, but the E39 is just so much better!

Don't know much about trucks, but I usually prefer the fords. I'd take the e39 over the e46, they tend to be less abused and I like the car itself more plus it has 2/3 of the mileage the other one has.

Ferrari 599. Most people would think that Corvette is the same as the cheap one, because they dont know the difference.

Corvette ZR1. Most Ferraris just don't appeal to me and the ZR1 isn't just american but is more stylish and you can modify it without a high price. Not to mention the sound and the fact it still falls under muscle class and not exotic.

599 BY FAR. I did not like some of its design at first and the c pillar looks sort of weird with the arch winglet whatever it is but in person it is a truly beautiful car and even in pictures when the angle is right, is has great proportions. I also thought the 612 was ugly as hell until I saw a nice black one that covered up the largeness of the car and it sort of grew into me, now I think it's a pretty nice design.
The 599 HGTE is just gorgeous IMO:
