Thanks. I'm still picking the Caterham, though. The 340R is a bespoke street legal road racer based on the Elise. The 2-Eleven is like a hardcore speedster Exige with the same Toyota powerplant.
The Atom is a bare bones, bare knuckle track toy for the street with performance to embarrass most supercars (0-60 in 2.9 secs) coupled with a whining supercharged VTEC.
The R500 was the fastest Caterham in the range before the new 620R came along. With 520hp-per-tonne, the power-to-weight ratio is equal to a Veyron, making for savage track performance.
The X-Bow is made by a motorbike manufacturer, it's the heaviest and slowest of the bunch and has a turbocharged Audi engine.
End James May lecture.
^ This is a ridiculous question (IMHO). Why would you go for a Korean car (Daewoo Kalos) badged as a Chevy (or Holden) to go against a performance Euro-Ford!? It's like a Suzuki Reno (Daewoo Lacetti) comparing against a past-gen Ford Focus ST (N/A in the US)!Would you rather Have
2013 Chevy Sonic RS- 138 horsepower -148 lb.-ft.
Or
2013 Ford Fiesta ST-197 horsepower -202 lb.-ft. of torque.
^ Easy, I'd pick the SLR 55 722. The Benz is a better all arounder compared to the boutique car.Would You Rather:
2007 Mercedes-Benz SLR 722 Edition
OR
2008 Spyker C8 Aileron
Xavier23422-eleven vs. 340r vs. Atom vs. Superlight R500 vs. XBOW
I'll have the KTM XBOW
BAC mono!
And... Fiesta
