Despite that sometimes wheel is slower than DS3 i still choose to use my G27, it give me more fun đź‘Ť :) And i can't deny myself that pleasure :sly:

But when wheel goes against wheel now we are talking ;)

4:10 is insane stage time đź‘Ť
 
I got 4:16 with all aids off. Decided to do a comparison run with all aids on (except still manual) and got a 4:10 :)

It was scary how it was just as fun with aids on as it was aids off. I think the reason I was so mich quicker is because I spent less time locking up, it never occured to me that locking up was making me slower, I thought that since it added tyre smoke it must've been a good thing :p

Hi there. I just did 4.10,45 with a DFGT (AIDS off except ABS manual gear box) , not easy though you really have to focus, but when all come together the driving is a blast đź‘Ť

There´s something that´s annoying me, every time that I want to change some wheel definition (while on stage) I can´t cycle thru them, meaning I have to enter and leave the menu a few times till a get the one I wanna change highlighted, anyone with the same problem?

I'm guessing it's possible to do equal-ish times without aids. ABS makes things easier, but in theory shouldn't make you any faster, just consistently near-perfect with braking.
 
There is lack of feel through the wheel in my opinion and driving on gravel feels the same as driving on Tarmac.

It felt different for me, though I am using a controller. There was a distinct shift in grip going onto and off the dirt road.

Good times by the way. I doubt I'd get anywhere near 4:10 - not with the default controls; just not comfortable with that set up.

Well I'm still waiting until the 20th to download the demo, so I don't know what other driving aids are available. I do know for a fact I will have ABS on though. It's just that jcm says he got 4:16 with no aids, but 4:10 with, which kind of threw me off as to what I should use to compare to Hyland's 4:10.
 
I just got 4:12.06 no aids on a run where I lost about 4 seconds in the first two sectors and had resonably major front bodywork damage from a mistake on the jump, so I'm guessing the driving aids are set-up really fairly đź‘Ť
 
Wow, I'm knackered. 4.33 is the best I got after a few goes with the G27, really gives you a work out. Left the set up default but just killed the dead zones. I'm really liking this, glad I pre ordered it. At last, something else other than GT5 to make use of my wheel.

Side note, pre ordered it before the mention of the free mini. I trust they'll still honour it at gamestation?
 
I'll be pre-ordering this as soon as I can get to a GAME store, as there's no money on the card to do it online.

One thing I do really hope this game does have though, is the correct audio for the MINI. It's by far the best sounding modern rally car.

 
I really dislike the cartoonish interface. Very curious choice. And the characters in Road to Glory are kind of ugly. Was it like that in the first two games?
 


Yeah that 4:10 is insanely fast. I tried with a ds3 and with a solid run only got 4:18. However when I first did the stage I found that the AI times when set to max difficulty were a good target. Rally is not about learning the stages corner by corner and getting a perfect run it's about going fast without taking too many risks and using the pace notes as a guide. When driving to a realistic speed I got 4:24 which is on par with the AI. đź‘Ť

Oh and I managed to find this song from the demo which is sick!

I am kinda leaning towards the PS3 version now also, with my G25 setup for GT5 and being a larger screen than my monitor I might just go with the PS3 version rather than PC.

I agree with you. Not a fan of the new menus and artwork, WRC 1 and 2 were very basic and clean, much nicer on the eyes.

You guys are aliens I don't know how you're getting 4:15 and even 4.10 I'm right on my limit and best I can do is 4:21...

PC demo soon.
 
weel, with dfgt i did 4:22. I surely can shave 1-2 sec but not more for my skills. however i found this game to be amazing. can't wait.

Not on the US store as yet - try the EU store. I hope that doesn't mean the game won't be distributed there, just like the first two were not. That delayed a few friends from getting a copy.

The menu, doesn't really bother me. The music, I was a bit unsure of at first for a rally game - but I'm growing to like it now.
 
Pheew. So, I managed to pull off another semi-clean (hitting one of the checkpoints and touching one of those red ''fences'') 4.06.08 after a few more runs. 4.05 is possible!

I'll upload the video as soon as I can. My hands are a bit shaky at the moment. I'm driving with all aids off but the ABS which I find way too sensitive for my taste. In the meantime, here's a picture.

I found this, you can't pre-order yet but there's hope. I read somewhere on their site that they're based in the uk so shiping could take 4-12 days.
 
I can only manage a 4.46.9! :lol:

And im crap at the road to glory stage as well, can only manage 11th place!

But still im enjoying the demo, the graphics and noises are good, i quite like the menu the comic book like backround reminds me of the Aha! music video, its very retro!, but idont really like the menu music..its quite annoying!
 
Right gonna get ready for my first go of this, looking forward to it after reading everything I have seen so far.
