4:06!! Akk, to beat that'd I'd need no mistakes and finding 3 more seconds! Oh well, considering my only real rally is experience is Just Cause 2 with a controller, I'm still very happy with 4:12 :D

I have a feeling I'll be doing 3-5 runs of this stage everyday until release, just so much fun :)

Pheew. So, I managed to pull off another semi-clean (hitting one of the checkpoints and touching one of those red ''fences'') 4.06.08 after a few more runs. 4.05 is possible!

So you're driving the DS3 I take it?

So, is this worth it? Gamy or SIM?

Try the demo. Its definitely simcade but does feel a lot more realistic than the old CMR games.

It is a hell of a lot of fun, just had my first go of the demo and its awesome. The stage is superb and the handling is thoroughly enjoybale and challenging. 4.24.xxx on my 2nd run.

It's such a blast. This is the first official WRC game in over half a decade that I'm actually really enjoying playing. Hopefully the rest of the game is just as good.

Yes, I do.

:)

Edit: Video should be up pretty soon. Some more editing and I'm done. First time using Premiere Pro.

Well done Hyland - there's no way I'm going to get anywhere near that kind of time, but as has been said, it's still lots of fun to do.

I don't think I've ever played a demo more than three times (DiRT 2.)

EDIT: Note to self - get a TT ghost uploaded straight away once the game is out, otherwise I'm never getting that trophy this time around :sly:

Yeah this is my first Rally experience ever, even in GT5 I didn't bother much, so my times suck, but that doesn't mean I'm not enjoying the demo

GT5 rally is weird - GT3 and 4 were fine and are what got me into rally racing in the first place. Have fun and you'll do fine :)

MP if it follows the usual format will be great, all opponents ghosted so no idiots to ruin your race with ramming.

Ditto. I remember when Codemasters removed it in DiRT3 after an update/patch, if I'm not mistaken. It totally killed the game for me.

nice vid Hyland!
Thanks!

Edit: Got bored and did som time attack on the Road to Glory Special Stage. 1:08.68, so far, if anyone is interested.

This cover has broken my mind.

This game just signifies how much we deserve a Proper Rally Game ,finally some one has come close .Physics are Solid ,you need to have fast reflexes and High concentration to survive and that makes it extremely fun, useless rewind feature in a Rally game is stupid but i guess it's a bonus, visuals are meh ,guessing low budget is the reason for this, that Blur as someone said before makes it look like the mini filter in GT5 Photomode,Sounds are annoying for me I don't know why but I hate that Citroen Car sound (love the back firing noise mind).

All in all console gamers deserve a proper rally game and while this probably won't be that game,it's still a pretty good effort better than what Codies pass for a Rally game anyway .

It's surprised me that they've used the MINI again. I'm not complaining, however. I'm glad they did, instead of putting Loeb on it, which is probably what other companies would've done.

Would you guys be up for a WRC3 League once it comes out? :)

Yes, totally, if I end up buying it. As much as I love the demo, I will wait till the reviews roll in and what you guys have to say about it. I'm having a deja vu about the amount of announced stages - I'm looking at you Codemasters.

Call me stupid, but how does the multiplayer work on WRC3? Do we race each others times, ghosts? Do we start in intervals and then catch up the slower/crashed driver and overtake?

Sorry, never owned any of the WRC games, nor the Dirts.

Not hosting it. Called it. :p Been doing Time Trial Competitions weekly with NFS Hot Pursuit, The Run, DiRT3 as well as GT over the past 2 years or so. If you meant racing together in an online room, then it's going to be rather troublesome. Weekly time trials would be best to get around timezones.

You play in the same room. I'm guessing there would be staggered starts like a normal rally point-to-point.

Not if they follow the same method as the last two games.

Simultaneous start, all players ghosted - single races/championship series (random number of stages/rallies) and full rally championships (up to thirteen stages). That's not to say that they will definitely stick to that format though.

 Guess it's all on me then! And yeah, I will wait till the game releases until getting into specifics about how to host it etc. so we can see what options we have at our disposal! :)

Now I feel so foolish - just found out that you can change the controller defaults on the PS3 demo.

Main menu/Options/Control Options - This gives a different view of the control defaults and allows you to reassign.

Right, back to try it out again and see if I fare any better with my usual layout.
