I should be getting my copy of WRC 3 today, needless to say I am super pumped to get going on this(PS3 version). Question for anyone that already has this title, how is the online play? Is the following big for this game? From what I have been reading this is one of the best rally titles to date. Just trying to get some feedback before I open her up. Also, my psn is bdubclub if anyone wants to add me so we can get our rally on. 👍 :gtpflag:

I remember the guys on InsideSimRacing saying that they were surprised by how many people were playing the game during normal US hours when the majority of the game's audience is in Europe. I think they had the 360 or PC version for their review though. I haven't had any problems finding online games on the PC, so I'd imagine you'll find plenty on PS3.

Yes Wrc 3 is in my opinion the second best rally game of all time, RBR is still the best rally simulator, but Wrc 3 has better grafics and realy god fysiks.
The fysiks in Wrc 3 is mutch better then in Wrc 1 and 2, so even the car sounds. Also the tracks are tighter then in earlier versions and some of them are quite long. I think the online play is god, but i have not bin playing that muth online jet. Fore best simulator experians do i recomand this settings.

Steering deadzone: 0 (it is still a litle bit of dead zone left in PS3 version, so for this i set my steering linearity to 2 clicks from middle to the left, this to make the deadzone eaven smaler and ceep as realistik steering as posible intakt.
IMPORTANTE! And in car settings before race i ajuse the Max steering lock to: zoro (or ells the car gets to direckt in steering becose of the adjusted linearity).
This settings is what i have found out to be the best possible and most realistic and best steering with minimum deadzone.

Accelerator deadzone:0
Accelerator linearity:0
Brake deadzone: 100%
Brake linearity: 100%
Force feedback intensity: 50%

Now have fun with your new rally game!

Online with the PS3 is busy alright - most seem to prefer the WRC class but you can always set up your own races//rallies or championships. A lot of the same names that I have seen playing 1 and 2 for a long time are playing 3 and WRC 2 is dead online right now. Hopefully that answers the question. Have fun.

Always nice with people that show's estimate when trying to help them....

Not sure what you are trying to say, I did read through your write up and am going to go with your settings tonight when I give it a spin. I dont want to sound unappreciative because thats not the case. Thank you because going thru and adjusting the settings you had given for the wheel is something I wasn't looking forward to. What platform are you using for WRC3?

I use PS3 and Logitech G27. I know you dident ask for it, but because the default settings for the steering is not optimal, i just wanted to share with you what I've come up with after ours of testing is the best steering set up for the greatest driving experians. But you may not use a steering wheel at all, then maby it dosent matter. Good luck with your online racing.

I do use a steering wheel, same as you, a G27, so I will give those settings you provided a try. 👍

WRC 3 East African rally is on the PS store now. I found it via Search/WRC and it was there.

:) 👍

EDIT: I even landed first place on the stage leaderboard (out of 16 players) with a fairly bad time - I bet that won't last long :sly:

EC Sim Hardware have released the following plugins for WRC 3 on PC 👍

*Advanced plugin 1.0

*Advanced physics mod 0.6

http://ecsimhardware.com/?page_id=2108

Pros:

*Triple screens
*Custom FOV
*Wheel rotation up to 900 degrees
*Up to 20 controller inputs.

Cons:

*I have to turn of FSAA in game options otherwise it's too laggy! and I'm running a 7970

*Can no longer see the speedo/gear indicator as it's off screen due to the screen resolution.

Hopefully EK Simracing release a plugin for the SLI-PRO...

Finally this game is playable for PC sim racers who have triple screen setups & multiple hardware input devices:)

Finally!!! I have tested the Safari track now, and it was a fun track and it feels more like a real rally track with speed sektions as well, and watt a wonderful lightning!

^ Cliffo: awesome, thanks for the update! Did they get H-shifters working as well? No big deal at all if they didn't as there's only a handful of cars I'd use it with, but it would be a nice bonus.

Can you run only the physics mod? Sounds like it´s useless otherwise if you don´t have a triple monitor :)

Yeah mate H-Shifter is added in Global settings 👍

Yes you can if you dont have triples 👍

Advanced physics mod 0.6 is for "physics"

Advanced plugin mod is for triples and other features....2 entirely seperate mods

Thanks. Wheel rotation I would perhaps need. Next question is is thus is it easy to uninstall :p

Will see if I find a better link. That one is full of spam ware and won´t even allow for the security code and open new screens and all kind of junk.

you must be clicking on the wrong link....

I've found that the cam & controller part of the Advanced plugin mod will not work in "Road to Glory" mode, Eyefinity works though (weird)

Anyone else having this issue?

No right link. Had to change the image because I couldn´t get the butterfly to work at all and it did start up some spam page. I am just allergic to the sites that do all to install spyware on you and make you try to go for the wrong link.

Got the physics mod installed but haven´t really tried it with wheel settings that work yet :)

I'm just glad I could get it this time around. The WRC 2 version was up and gone from the PS Store very quickly, so I missed it.

EC Sim Hardware announced on their facebook page that they will not be doing any more mods for WRC 3 in the future.

Guess we'll have to be happy with what they have already provided for us and hopefully another modder takes on the job...

Might just not be as easily moddable as something like RBR. Maybe they kinda hit the limit on what they could realistically do in WRC.

The WRC 2 version is still in the store here is a pic taken today for proof.

Cheers - I wonder why I can never seem to find it then. It never shows via 'search' and then WRC. To be honest, the last time I looked was before the store update.

I'll give it another go - thanks again 👍

you have to manually search for it. Its under PS3 add ons and then vehicle and track packs(or something like that) and just look through them till you find it.
