New PS Store is mess, I check regulary in "What is New" section and didn't see any DLC for WRC3. If you have to search for it, what is the point of "What is New" section?

edit: I see, track DLC is only on UK Store not on CZ Store, that is ridiculous, our money are probably not good enough for them, even though they charge us more than on UK Store

I still don't get the logic behind it only being available on the UK store. I asked them on the FB page and no reply. Does anyone know how much it costs developer to put their product on the PSN store? I think they would increase sales if was international...

It could be free (which is highly unlikely), it could be very expensive, look how much it costs to release a patch: http://www.thetechgame.com/News/article/sid=3012.html. I imagine that listing fees and Sony's cut on each sale means they'll make peanuts on WRC 3 as they might sell a handful of copies (compared to other games).

I'm sure it's the EU store that the DLC and game are available through and not just the UK. There is always the approach of making an account for that region as an option, not ideal but it's a minefield out there: Eurogamer article

Interesting article Neema, thanks for that.

cheers guys. I have 2 Euro accounts, 1 in Ireland and 1 in the UK. WRC 3 is not available on the Irish Store but is on the UK, the UK price seems a bit too steep for me with the US conversion rate, I'll pick it up eventually but not for that price...

On a brighter note, turned on the PS3 today to find my disk was corrupted(1TB). Had no other choice to format. I only have a backup from June but it could be worse. Now for the huge restore, Oh well, Onwards & Upwards...

There is no such thing as the EU Store, every country has their own Store and even though we are part of the EU, track DLC is not there. Beside my Czech account I only have the UK account in the EU territory so I looked there.

I would like to see global approach to PS Store, way how SCEE operates their region is "weak". Their language excuse is also weak because they can simply release everything same day as US Store in English and then release language packs for those who need them. Local currency is just another excuse how to charge EU players more (and even more in different EU countries), I have no problem with paying dollars, pounds, yen or whatever with my VISA.

Agreed, it is a problem that Sony need to sort out, especially as MS can do it.

Luck with the re-installs Richie - I hope you at least have fun with re-doing all of your games that were lost. At least your trophies should be intact.

Probably the only reason I'd build a gaming PC is for driving games (and Outerra) as you guys get a lot better physics. Don't get me wrong, it's good on the PS3 but in AdrianF1's vids the driving experience seems so much better.

Yeah those mods seem really cool. Still one of my favs on the ps3 though. And on the vita for sure as well.

On Facebook milestone (http://www.facebook.com/wrcthegame) have just posted this.

Hi Guys, today we would like to confirm you that we're working on the patch for Xbox360, Windows PC and PS3. We've collected all the problems you've highlighted to us and we're fixing them. Further details will be announced

Yep, they generally release a patch a month or two after release to correct any issues that have arisen. I'm glad they are communicating more these days. Thanks for the confirmation.

Once I can get off from FC3 I'll be back on this game.

Finally got round to trying the Advanced Plugin, had a few issues but I think it's mostly working now except for the shifter. Has anyone else had a problem with it?

Is this supposed to be their answer to Dirt: Showdown then?

The further they stay away from that genre, the better. WRC needs to be kept unique to the sport or just give it to someone who will. I'd much prefer if they're just focus on the main Title, its taken them 3 years to get it where it is, Keep it going I say!

👍

May get this when I see what is fully on offer. I wounder what they mean by "special power ups" if its any thing like the challenges in WRC 3 its a no go for me.

I was thinking they meant like mario kart/f1 race stars/blur type power ups. Who knows though.

yeah I hope its more like that but in them races where you had to pick up the repair icons to stop your car falling apart. I hope its not that type of thing. Also with 4 players on track its a little low isn't it?

Not really interested in this ancilliary title mostly because what they're proposing isn't really my kind of thing - as much as I enjoyed the last three head-to-head races, I agree that they should stay as a rally title.

That reminds me of Colin Mcrae Rally 2.0's Arcade mode on the PSone. It's kinda cool, but should remain an extra game mode, not a new game.

^^Not my video, just a quick example from youtube of CMR2.0 Arcade mode. It appears as though Milestone are trying to flesh it out more and make more of a game of it. If priced right, then it could be OK, but I don't feel to confident about it.

What I would welcome as a spin-off from the regular WRC season, would be a mini game of races on fantasy tracks going through other game locales. Eg: Battlefield 3; Far Cry 3; Prince of Persia; Killzone 3; Just Cause 2...and of course Dead Island - that sort of thing.

I doubt very much it would ever be possible though :) too many licensing problems.

Marry Christmas all of you :) I have a little christmas gift for you guys, i have worked on the car setups in Wrc 3 (PS3 version) for a while to optimize the driving physics, and it has make a signifikante difference on howe the car behaves.
Since this is a time consuming process and it is not everyone who has the time or inclination to do this, i therefore intend to share with you my results for those who're interested.
This improves the over all handeling of the car on different surfaces and makes it more realistic, i do not know if the settings also works on PC and X Box versions and with other wheels then Logitech G27, which I have, but it worth a try.
All settings are adapted to the Skoda Fabia S2000 by me, but they probebly works on other cars as well, might need some minor adjustment though. I have put a lot of time and energy into these settings after that I want to optimize driving physics in the game. Lock for details here : http://youtu.be/jnalncGBfY4

Does anyone realise how BIG this update is

It adds triple screen support :bowdown::bowdown:

Yeah mate, for those of us that play the pc version realise how important this mod is...

Btw....milestone announced they are working on a patch for all three platforms also 👍

I actually fished that out the other day and started playing it. The handling is incredibly twitchy.

I also found an old copy of WRC II: Extreme and had a go at that ... the handling was quite the opposite to McRae 2.0 - very heavy and brutish.
