4:15 is possible. So much fun every time i play it. Definitely going to buy this game
Sound works with 720p :)

I love this game. Finally a racing game with proper physics and a good difficulty. You can really sink your teeth in it to get better.

Graphics are fine, altough in replay it looks like they turned on a miniature filter as found in Gt5.

After playing this demo and the F1 2012 demo I am going to spend my money on WRC3. Very excited!

Where can you download WRC2 from?

Get Games have it for £way too much, it was £7.50 when it was 75% off! It's too early for me to work out what that means exactly but it's a lot. A physical copy from Amazon is under £10 I think.

How the heck do you use a g27 with the ps3 demo?

I can't launch the game with it or navigate the menu. If I go into the controller options switch off the ds3 and unplug then re plug the wheel it comes up in the options but then I can't navigate from there I can only move the wheel side to side.

If the ds3 is player 1 the wheel won't work and if the ds3 is player 2 the ds3 does not work. What am I missing?

Edit: Epic fail, forgot that I don't have the gearstick unit out of the box!

Game feels great with the g27, turned the ffb right down as I find ffb is always very unrealistic in these games and they give way too much feedback. These cars do have power steering they would not give that much feedback surely.

But yeah really enjoying this. Think we may finally have a real WRC game!

One question, there is only 6 stages per rally but did they run these in reverse in WRC 2? They do it in real life so surely they would run each stage in reverse in career mode? Either way 4 minute stages are much better than the 30 second ones from Dirt 3.

One thing that does suck is that road to glory mode. I didn't mind the first one which rewards you for drifting through the hairpins like you should but the second one was just awful. Blatantly trying to copy the smash the blocks thing from Dirt 3 and it looks so crap compared to Dirt 3. And it makes a horrendous sound when you hit the blocks. Will be avoiding that one as much as possible.

Yeah, reverse stages were run in WRC 1 and 2.

Road to Glory is only an 'added extra' as far as I'm aware. I didn't realize that the block smashing bit was in the demo, just did the drifty part...and you did mean Dirt 2 and not 3, didn't you? :sly:

Yeah I don't really like that either. Especially where you can get more ability points by smashing into posts etc because 'it looks good for the fans'.

The bit with the Fiesta gets you 10 stars. You can then click right on the Menu to do the block smashing with the Renault to get all 15 for the Iberian (sp?) bit.

After playing it a bit more yesterday the cars aren't as lively as they should be on the exit of slow corners and the hairpins. They straighten up way too easily.

But the menu music is pretty cool. :)

@ussr, what are your wheel settings?

There is no save option in Demo so every time i have to set them like this. This is my setup for G27

Dead-zones to 0, and linearity to 50% <-- but I didn't try to change either acceleration and brake so i think I've play with different setup while full game arrive.

:D I'm afraid you would have to be more focused in the future if you want to really enjoy racing games.

Preordered it. Will be my first WRC game since the PS2. I'm really looking forward to driving that crazy Peugeot 504!

Hmmzz, I did not see the block smashing available. Will have to try again tonight.

Yeah the old 504 is amazing. Never ever saw that featured in a game.

Good to hear! That is plenty of stage time for each rally. As for the block smashing it was in Dirt 3 in the gymkhana mode...

Haha I don't use the gearstick unit for iRacing so I completely forgot that the G27 had that third piece of hardware lol I was thinking where are all the buttons!!?? 💡

Ahh, true - I hardly bothered with the Gymkhana once I'd done the minimum required: fun but irrelevant for me. I thought you were refering to the rally stage block smash runs in D2...sorry.

:) Great to know what was the reason to leave it in the box :sly:

It's in this time around as well. Check the 'Garage' in 'Road to Glory'.

Anyway, I set a new (semi-clean if I'm being picky) personal best on the demo stage. Could probably shave off another second but I won't bother unless someone is up for the challenge. Sorry for the awful quality and I suggest you all to turn down the volume, just incase. Either way, enjoy.

I'll take on your challenge. Earliest I'll get back to you is next Thursday evening.
Great 👍

By the way, I'm using the DS3, which I guess has the upper hand on the wheel.

You may have advantage on us wheelers but i can try to squeeze a little more.

After looking through the main site i've got a list of the cars in WRC3. Cars in Italics with underlines are new / returning from WRC1.

Toyota Celica Turbo 4WD - '92

Couple points. As far as I can tell the only (announced) new cars are the Mini Countryman S2000, Proton Satria S2000, and VW Polo R WRC. However I don't remember the Renault Twingo in WRC 1? Also i'll be interested in how the old S1600 cars are integrated, there's a fair old load of them. And also its nice to see the old WRC cars, the 300hp Focus / C4 / Impreza combo back.

Overall seems the license is being used pretty well I reckon, looks good.

Car list of WRC3.

I Just started to play WRC 2, what an ugly :scared: graphic in compare to WRC 3 DEMO. And the steering is not the same as in WRC 3  Oh well i will se how far i can play this thing.

I made the same mistake with Need for Speed the Run. I got it cheap in anticipation of Most Wanted. Buth urhg The Run, now I know again why it got low review scores.

Sell it (WRC2) if you can.

Am I the only person that enjoyed WRC 2?

Gonna see if I can pre-order WRC 3 tomorrow. At first I was thinking of pre-ordering F1 2012 too, but I'd rather wait until Christmas for that. No option to be female gives it bad marks in my book. Unless, of course, it was a demo only thing.

You should contact Codies about that and let them know females do play it too.

Well despite the graphic i think i will finish it, at least as far i can go in championship. Those cars like 205T16 and Delta S4 are tempting to unlock them. So far i like it.

The Group B cars in WRC2 are insane - you really feel the power of them and get a feel for how dangerous they are.

Sure the graphics are far worse, but again, they are far better than 1 and I think you'll actually get absorbed by the game, at least I did. The handling is also different for the same reason - it has a different game engine.

In truth, all of that info has been discussed to some extent in this thread, so it really shouldn't be a surprise. Black Bean are a small studio and couldn't afford all the stuff that other devs like Codemasters have (don't forget, they've also been around for a very long time.)

I started playing one, despite not liking the demo, found I enjoyed it. Two I found was much better, even if the tracks were mostly the same. Two still has a lot of MP activity too.

Three is the real step up - a better game engine, new stages that represent the real WRC rally stages, apparently; better engine sounds and more diverse wheel support.

Stick with it USSR as I think you'll like Greece and Argentina and those Group Bs too.

Grrrr Still can't find any Australian retailers that know anything about WRC 3, if only it was on steam...
