Ouch - I have yet to encounter Greece but I remember how tricksy the stages could be in WRC 2. I think I also had a similar 'car exploding' moment on the Argentina stage where you end after a long curve left and a few nasty humps...needless to say my crossing the finish line was not clean and looked damn weird.

Yah MarcoM - it was the hairpin after the long downhill straight and then that corner out of the blue - caught me out somewhat...
 
One Portuguese corner catches me out all time. Its very end of stage, a 90 degree right with a banked inside. So many times I end up cutting it and throwing my car end over end.
 
I'm really enjoying the later head-to-head challenges where you race with your opponent on the same stage. Despite the opponent's eagerness to spin you out once you are ahead, it keeps things interesting...especially the Greece stage with all that dust.

It is annoying though that we have to select semi-automatic. I also like the variety of chase games; helicopter, plane and hang glider done so far. Reminds me of the old FUEL challenges :)
 
Hallo everyone! I am from Sweden and new here, and i have a question, it seams to me that a free Safari DLC is out for Wrc 3 on PSN store, but i can not find it thare? Can anybody explains that?....

Thats for WRC2.
 
Well that is very strange haven't heard anything about about it. It could be a misprint and maybe they have a special offer by giving away the WRC 2 safari pack for free but put WRC 3 by mistake.

Strange indeed, it does say WRC 3 but like has been said, that track was for WRC 2 - though I could never find it at the time. Or maybe it might come out as DLC for 3 also - that'd be great. Shout out if you find it.

Had my first bash at online today - didn't see one person cheating, though it does get a bit tedious with the vote sessions where everyone seems to stick with the first stage every time. Curiously enough, the highest vote did not always win...I suppose it would be best to set up a championship series with fixed stages and countries.

I also got a bit peeved at having to back out of a race as the game was still waiting for the host to load, even after four minutes - thereby I lost 800pts as penalty for going back to the lobby.

Still, it was fun and I got my two online trophies.
 
There's only a few rallies where people can cheat, I've seen it at Mexico, Portugal, Argentina... few others maybe. It's on those stupidly twisty sections and people can just drive straight through cutting like 3 hairpins at once.

Having said that the only people I see cheat are the guys who are level 80+ and know all of the stages and therefore the shortcuts.
 
Hei there folks. Just wondered if anybody here is interested in joining a WRC online championship for Class 3 cars (P-WRC/N4) at all? It would be once a week and need about 30-40 minutes at most. If there is enough interest I'll make a more official post.

Depending on time of day (and platform too) I'll probably be up for that. I like the Class 3 cars and there seem to be so few matches with them online.

I use a G27 steering wheel but the gear shifter is not supported.
Also not supported the shift pedals beside the wheel, so the only way to play is to choose automatic transmition.

can some body inform me who to play using manual transmition with G27?

You have made ​​a good choice who bought Wrc 3 as it is a rely god and fun game. Unfortunately isnt the H schifter supported with clutch, but to change gears sequentially with gear stick is no problem.
I put up a video on youtube with a link hear in a few hours how to set this up, so keep checking here.

My video is in a bad quality, but i hope you can se the most importent things in it, how to set this up. Its a matter of taste with gear you want for up and down, but you use gear 3 and 4.(And dont forget to save before you leave set up menus). In the wideo i show you my sequential mod, but if you want an easyer one you have it here:

Set forse fedback to 50% and steering deadzone to zero , for best experians.

Everything on G27 is supported, choose manual to use paddles behind wheel. I have 4th gear on the shifter mapped as hand brake, works well. If you ask for H style shifter support, modern rallye cars don't have that.

I did the same thing for my hand brake. Just have to remember to push it back up to the neutral position each time. That messed me up a lot at first haha.
 
Finally got this game for my birthday yesterday! Totally hooked on it. It's very different from WRC 2, but in a good way. Some elements I liked of 2 are gone, other I disliked are gone. Still, a brilliant game and the best so far. :)

Glad you finally managed to get it - it can't have been easy reading all these comments. Just wait until you re-discover Finland and the Alsace which is about a billion percent better than 1 or 2's rendition. Then you'll need to batten down the hatches when New Zealand finally comes around - that's just insanely twisty.

I have completed the game now, well, all except for the final challenge against the WRC stars. That last head-to-head in New Zealand was brilliant fun. My heart was racing and I was literally short of breath by the time I got past him and finished - that was the most intense one yet and I really like the idea.

The 'seasons' and game in general is quite a bit shorter than 1 or 2. I expect that's due to the hightened amount of detail and physics involved, so I'm more than okay with that. Also this way, the tracks do not become so tedious from over-use. The races themeselves are also fun to do again if you want to run all the cars you have unlocked, especially those which can't be used in the WRC Experience section.

Anyway, that in itself should continue to keep me coming back for more, and online now that I have learned most of the stages.

I wonder if there will be another DLC for this game, like they did with 2.

Yes milestone has promised us more DLC, the only question is when, im started getting impatient! ...
