It would seem that nothing has been signed between the FIA and Red Bull for the promotional side of the WRC.

Whether this is because they are still trying to sort out the mess that was left by North One Sport, or because Mateschitz and Todt are having a difference of opinion remains to be seen. I'm hoping it's the former - the article implies that Todt wants to bring back long-distance events and Mateschitz is resisting it, so I hope he doesn't want to go in the opposite direction and turn it into an "extreme sport".
That said, Mateschitz is smart enough to realise that the WRC can't really go back to the days of major manuacturer support, and seems to have identified manufacturer teams with commercial backing as the way forward.
