Reminds me of the time I accidentally went up to the dollar store with a 100 dollar bill instead of a ten. Good news was they had change! ROFLMAO Who'd'a thunk?

Is anyone else watching Le Mans 24?

They are using OLR rules this year!

They have plastic bollards marking the chicanes to make the driver's keep two tyres on the track, and a stop/go penalty is in force for hitting them!
Plus they now have a NO wheelspin rule for the pits, again a stop/go for the first offence, but a black flag for a second offence!
Also the walls in the first mulsane chicane (Le Arche) have Gran Turismo 4 plastered all over them!

Brill, maybe the new guy running the track is a fan!

That's the Playstation Chicane. It's had GT3/GT4 adverts on it for a few years now.

Hey all,

I'm watching the race as well. 👍

First off...
I have a feeling the OLR rules mimic the real race rules... I doubt they would re-adjust their rules just because some creative GT fan said "hey, let's do it like this"...

Also,
I wouldn't really care for a DBR9 in real life or anything (I'm too much of a daily driver kind).
However, in GT it is sorely missed and I have felt that way for a while. :(
Those DBR9s have been running ALMS for a while now and they really are awesome cars.

I don't know if they are C6R-beaters but they sure do look cool. :dopey:
(are they in the same class as the vettes?
And are those vette considered to be "C6-Rs"?)

Oh, and another thing...
I have a feeling PS2 and PD put some major money into this race as well as several other major races/tracks over the last 2 years. :mischievous:

Any way,
I'll be around the WRS today as I watch the racing. :D
Talk to you all later. :sly:

Btw, is anyone else tired of seeing a dozen R8s with different team names?

BTW was being sarcastic about the 'GT fan' changing the rules Kent! lol

They're fast enough to be C6-R beaters. They can run 3 seconds a lap faster, but do the Aston's have the reliability? Do the 'vettes have reliability considering that they're new too?

The lead DBR9 is 40 seconds ahead of the lead C6-R ATM.

And, yes, they are known as the C6-R.

You'd need a TV tuner card for your PC so you can hook the TV up to your PC and watch the replay/record to a suitable format (*.avi, *.mpg, etc.). The *.max replay is compressed and cannot be read by media players in its current state.

The MaxDrive is just that -- a drive for storing data. ARMax is the cheat system made by the same company (Datel). The ARMax disc has the MaxDrive software on it already, so if you've got a USB pen that can be read/written to by the MaxDrive, you really don't need the MaxDrive disc by itself anymore unless that's all you're planning on doing.

SharkPort is essentially the same thing as ARMax, just different manufacturers. You can transfer replays/saves to/from your PC via USB. SharkPort is harder to come by these days.

Hope that helps.

You guys are the lucky ones... I always answer myself, but then I don't remember asking the question in the first place so I get into all kinds of internal arguments about what it is I'm discussing with myself...

Thinking about the teams. CFM said they'd be fair. My guess is that #1 in D1 will be teamed up with last place in D3. What you guys think?

Will probably be something like that ... or the 2 times will be added up to make an average, so if the D1 guy did 1:15 and the D3 did 2:00, that's 3:15 , he will probably decide on some average like 3:10 , and try to match every team as close as possible to that ... haha does that make sense haha.

I was discussing this very point with EXelero this afternoon, and she very rightly pointed out that if this was the case jump, then who would div.2 get put with?

Its gonna be very interesting, and explains why he's taking so long to post up the next race.

Come on Curved Felching Maniac....... where are the details.

i wonder who will be my teammate.

I hope i dont let them down :(

Knowing you chippers, you already know who your partner is.

hehehe

I hope it aint me, cos i go to bed when you get up, and i get up when you are still up and should be in bed.

Having said that, look at the time!!!! why are you still up?!!??

:grumpy: 👍

seem to be missing each other lately in terms of time online.... 👎

Yes, that does make sense.

@ Kragbees- In this scenario, many D2 drivers would probably be teamed together?

I don't know, but it's fun to speculate :)
