I believe that in prototypes 1 Ford and the 2 Jags have already been taken. Furi has the Ford and I have one of the Jags. I don't remember who's in the other.



I couldn't decide between the Ford or the Jag in PT, but went for the Jag in the end. I can't get it to quite match my fastest laps that I've done in the Ford, so I don't expect to see Jag drivers earning pole points (maybe 1 or 2 if the Fords struggle for some reason), but it seems to be good at long runs on tyres. The tyres wear as normal (faster than normal at Pescara), but it doesn't seem to lose as much laptime from it as the Ford does.

My Ford was using the default suspension setup all season (with tweaks elsewhere), but I can't get a nicely tuned Jag (Just a little oversteer in places) to match it's pace (.2 off at Pescara and a little more at Spa). The type of track doesn't seem to matter either, since it was slower at both Pescara and Spa. I've run laps at Laguna and Daytona road, but I don't remember the times we did in qualifying at them, so I can't compare.


The 2 tyre rule for next season will probably see drivers spend as short a time as possible on the harder tyre, since it's really off the pace of even a worn softer tyre. In the Jag SM is 1.2 seconds per lap slower than SS around Pescara, and is a whole 3 seconds slower at Daytona road. Laguna also sees a large difference of 2.5 seconds.

I'm guessing Furi will set a minimum requirement of laps on the harder tyre.
 
There will be a tyre life rule.

Currently yes, Yeratel and Joe for Jaguar, me in a Ford.
 
GT to have two type rule. Each class will have a minimum alloted time on the harder compound. Jaguar in PT full I believe. Thread to hopefully come within next week, need to do a fair load of GT testing to finalise the line up.

X amount of laps I presume?
 
Yes. Won't be same for each class due to GT covering less laps and having different tyre wear compared to prototypes.

Edit: Watching Motors Tv and omg watching the huge Ford Galaxy lap the tiny British cars was so funny! :lol: (A little Marcos Gt tried keeping up with it for a while..)

I would post it, but still working on it. Ginetta tweaks being carried out, and banners need to be finished, but at least all 1500 words of the OP's are done :lol:
 
Furi don't you learn? No one reads your OPs so why bother :P.
 
First image won't load for me. Same as last season then :sly: (Last season's Daytona image would never load for me either)
