Presents...

supergt.jpg

The Format

- SuperGT series with strict rules and heavy damage, only clean and serious racers need apply
- Races will always be held in POPE's lounge. While the host of the room might change, the room will not anymore. Sorry for all the past confusion.
- Tuesday’s @11pm EST, 8pm PST
- 30 minute practice session before each race
- 10min qualifying session
- 60min race
- Points system taken from SuperGT
1st - 20, 2nd - 15, 3rd - 11, 4th - 8, 5th - 6, 6th - 5, 7th - 4, 8th - 3, 9th - 2, 10th – 1

The Rules

- Cars are limited to 600pp
- No restrictions on the cars modification, use of power limiter is recommended.
- Every car qualifies and starts on Racing Medium tires (all tire compounds allowed after first lap)
- Tire penalty applied to top 3 of previous race (Unless 3rd place is +30sec behind 2nd)
- Penalized cars qualify and start on Racing Hard tires
- No aggressive bumping or hitting.
- New lapped/retiring car rule. Once you have been lapped 3 times by the leader you are forced to retire from the race. To retire, finish your current lap and enter the pits. Once you enter the pits press the start button. You will now remain in the pits. Please type "Retired" on the message board before leaving the track. Do Not Park anywhere but in the pits. No matter how off the line, or off the track you are, you're still a distraction to other racers. Also if your having a horrible race, like i was last night, you may retire yourself. Again, enter the pits, press start, and type "Retired" on the message board. No explaination requried until after the race. Reading and racing is another distraction.
- No violation of the pit exit white line. (Only one warning before 10sec penalty per incident is given)
- Slow down when entering the pits. Going full speed into the pits often causes issues with auto-pilot resulting in car getting stuck and blocking pit.
- One move only blocking (like F1). If being passed you may move to block (no hitting) once in one direction, afterwards if the car gets to the other side then you must allow the pass. This usually only applies only on straits.
- The lead car has the right away, the racing line, and sets the braking point through corners. RESPECT THEIR RIGHT! Try braking early and beating them on exit speed, or waiting for them to slip up.
- Late braking and corner diving is a risky move, often resulting in car-to-car contact. While this move is allowed, use caution as it may result in a bump off track and time penalty. Repeated offences will result in loss of points or disqualification from series. This is most important in the first corner, don’t ruin your chance or anyone else’s by trying to skip 5 spots. Respect that those racers out-qualified you and earn your places.
- We at WSCC apply the GTPlanet OLR-rules that you can find here. To put it simply: behave in the races as if you were in a real world car race.

Car contact incidents are part of racing and will always happen. Nobody is perfect.
Everybody makes involuntary driving errors. The important thing is to stay fair.

Here is the procedure to follow in case of an important incident:
-In case of an incident, always first look at the replay
- If after seeing the replay, you still think another driver has disadvantaged you, first contact him by PM.
- If that does not resolve the incident, send a PM to the race steward (host).
- Steward will review the replay with the other WSCC Stewards make a decision
- Stewards will try to contain incidents/complaints to PM’s, however if a large portion of the field is affected it may be made public
- Penalties will be noted with standings along with brief description
- Never accuse another driver publicly, it is forbidden by WSCC and GTP-policy and can lead to definitive exclusion.

- Racing line (Off)
- ASM (Off)
- SRF( Off)
- TCS (Off)
- ABS (1)
- Grip Reduction (Real)

Hey guys im luckylefty2guns friend...id like to sign up and id like to use the xanavi nismo gtr-08 thanks

Welcome guys! I'll update the list when I get home. Remember that all of these cars are premium, so you can pick up anyone you want. At 600pp I couldn't find one car that stood out, so I went on looks mostly.

Sign me up. I'll be using the Lexus DENSO DUNLOP SARD SC430 ‘08.

What track will be using for preseason? Will we get to test the tire restrictions in preseason? I almost didn't want to sign up because of that, but hate to miss a WSSC event in my favorite cars, so would like to see how it works out before the actual season starts.

Tire rule will be in effect during the pre-season but not the penalties. The pre-season races will be using the same tracks as the regular season, I'll decide what ones tonight. Probably the shorter ones as it won't be a full grid.

Thanks iamsupernasty, sorry you can't make it. Keep an eye out for a future sunday series.

stone420420, is that your PSN as well?

boshuter, which PSN will you be using for this series? Also with regard to the tire regulations. I used a similar system in my last touring car series and it worked well with little complaints. Dispite the cars being so even, some drivers are always faster, others very consistant, and some are both. Over an hour long race, the faster driver still has the best chance, however the tire regulations make them work harder for that second win. Most top drivers get bored of leading an entire race, and welcome the chance to move up through the field. Combine that with the heavy damage and we get a close points race all the way to the finale.

I've updated the schedual, along with the details on our mid-season Special Stage. Lap numbers will be updated soon enough. I havn't tested on all the tracks yet, and only have average times for GP/F and Deep Forest. Anyone wanting to help, just post some times.

I did some testing on Suzuka with weather and I gotta be honest I'm having second thoughts. I know it was my idea but it is brutal out there. Seriously.

Haha, rain is the great equalizer. I'll try it this weekend. The key is to be smooth, i love racing in the rain. The biggest issue people have is trying to go to fast, just accept that you need to brake early, and often brake where your not used to.

I was invited by Sassafrass. I would like to join this Series. My username is SPOLTY AND I WILL TAKE THE LEXUS PETRONAS TOM'S SC430 '08. THANKS!

Can you change my car to the Lexus BANDAI DIREZZA SC430 ‘06, I'm running it with the same regs in another series and may as well just stick with it.

I'll see how the tire deal goes in preseason. (I really don't understand the logic behind it, but it's your season so I hope it's not as bad as it sounds.)

hello my name is aarobaa420 i would like to join and i would like to drive the nissan xanavi nismo z 06 thanks

Most real world series, (touring, GT3, SuperGT) use weight, power, and aero penalties to keep cars even and competitive. In GT5 weight makes little difference and the others are hard to restrict. I've found that a tire penalty keeps things tight.

I'm interested, but I don't have any of the cars. I'm watching the UCD so I can at least test drive one and see whether I can be competitive.

All the cars are available in the new car dealership.

Thedude1435, I'm not taking sign ups for reserves yet. Would you like to just sign up?

Doh, shows how much I know. I almost never visit the NCD. I guess I'll try out the Nissan XANAVI NISMO Z ‘06. Put me on the list and after I do some practice and attend one of the pre-season events I'll let you know if I want to continue.

The Z has been taken by aarobaa420, I just didn't update the OP yet.

Everyone, make sure you test/tune in your private lobby with grip set to "real." I had a few SuperGT cars tuned nice for the seasonals, but when we raced online a few weeks back I couldn't stop spinning out. I wouldn't want anyone having a crappy first race.

Can you update the first post so I know what is left to choose?

Can I use the Honda ARTA NSX ‘06?

Thedude is a buddy of mine. I told him to sign up as a reserve. He's not sure if he can commit because of his work schedule. So we'll just keep him on the side burner for now unless he reads this and signs up.

Sounds good, no pressure on him until the grid is full.

Only 4 spots left! Team Nissan is full, 2 spots left on both Team Honda and Team Lexus/Toyota.

Hmmm...May have bit off more than I can chew...Spent an hour with it and it's still 3 seconds behind my Xanavi...wish me luck.

Only an hour, lol. I spents about 10hrs on GP/F in the past week, and that was just deciding on a platform. This weekend i get every last drop out of it.
