I'll add that it's so close that it's conceivable they specifically tried to make it impossible, and might tweak the PP in an update to prevent it from reaching 800 with RH tyres.

It looks like you just added all the ballast, and turned the power restrictors down to 70, which I have done, and I'm still too high. If you didn't adjust anything else I just wasted a million dollars on this car :(

Lifting the ride height, adding or removing downforce, and changing the gearing are also easy ways to lower PP.

You need to copy every single bit, including the gearbox and diff settings. You must use the customisable manual gearbox, not racing.

OK, so I use a controller, and automatic, so I'm at 806 even with all the ballast. Any ideas as to how I can get it under 800? Body height adjustment of 86/96 got me there, but is there a better way? And do I need that customizable diff and those settings if I'm using auto?

Where do you have your Ballast set to? I can get it to 799 but need to increase ballast to 100 and still need to reduce ECU to about 79 to get it there(and of course PR needs to be at 70).
ECU 100%
Power restrictor 77%
Ballast 168
Positioning set to -40

Everything else stock
799.68PP
525hp
989kg

Ballast positioning helps the car be a bit less tail happy in 1st gear and with the cars dimensions being so small and boxy.

If you want to make it really easy - race with TCS on 1 and you can pretty much have throttle planted on exit with no wiggle.

As mentioned, race on leanest fuel map until around lap 7 (this is the case for all the WTC800 events) - you will of already overtaken the rabbit AI in position 1 by then by some margin.

You know what, nevermind, it's Monday, I had a brain fart. I didn't have an issue winning the Touring Car 800, I used the Formula car for it, it's the Gr.3 730 race that kicked my ass. Any suggestions on what car to use there?

The customisable manual gearbox part lowers the PP, the top speed setting affects the PP, and the rear diff 60/60/60 lowers the PP. If you have found another way to do it that works for you, that's fine too.

Thanks for the reply man. OK I just won the Daytona race with ballast at 100 and positioning set to default 0, before I just read your reply. ECU was at 73. You're right...the car is an absolute BEAST!

However, I just entered the race at Monza with the same settings and lost lol. Stupid Portilla only pitted once. Gonna copy your settings to a tee this time, and try again at Monza. I swear though...if Portilla pits only once, there's practically no way to win here.

Vette or Jag Gr3 car. They're very stable and come in at under 730PP right out of the dealership/ I've found the Jag gets better fuel economy so I'd go with that.

I've beat that race with both on the Hard setting. For the Vette I used fuel setting 2 on teh infield and 1 on the banks, and the Jag was 1 the whole time. I'd recommend the Jag first just based on that.

Thanks so much, this race is kicking my ass. I need a good Gr.3 car to run in all these 730 Gr. race, and it sounds like the Jag is my car.

All good - glad you did it!

Monza is easier with the 2J (IMO), just be confident with the leanest fuel map from start of race - you will catch Portilla!

Tyres never need a change , just refuel and you good to go.

I think I finished about 40 seconds ahead on Monza iirc.

Good luck 👍

Super Formula doesn't need to pit at all. 😀👌

Success!!! Idiot Portilla pitted twice. Those settings you put are fantastic! Love this car now!

I was gonna buy it but spent too money and forgot lol. I'll grab it when I get the credits and give it a try.

If the AI only did one stop, that seems better than the Tomahawk S. I just tried it with a no-stop with the Tomahawk S, and only won by 10 seconds, fastest lap 1:46.7. If you're stopping for fuel and winning by 30 seconds more, you'd have to be lapping a LOT faster. I haven't done the last set of missions yet, so don't have the 2J to try myself.

Nice job man

I'm always in Normal mode. I tried the Porsche 917 LL, and while it's a great car, running fuel at 6, I had to pit four time since I couldn't squeeze more than 3 laps out of a tank. Still, I managed to finish 2nd. Switched to the Mazda RX-Vision GT3 Concept Stealth Model which I also ran the Fuel Map at 6. One pit after six laps and no tire change gave me a 13 sec win.

Get one of the Gr1 cars from legends & de-tune to 799PP.

I’m using the Calsonic Nissan for all the W800 races now, easy win by 45 seconds doing a no-stop on RH, FM2
