I guess it depends on opponents or some other factors I don't know. I've seen online races with 12-16 people that ran for a half hour or more (laps depends on the track obv) that paid much more.
A 40 minute race at Nurburging GP/F, I was in a 600 hp Z06 RM. What kind of races did you play and how much did they pay (I just want to get an idea of what you can get out of online races).
I am at level 28 and have yet to NEED to repeat anything. I have repeated a few races I wanted to, but never needed to. If you're playing a combination of online and offline and you are interested in just playing the game, not the reward at the end, and are willing to wait and not be able to just access the last race in a week, thats how they wanted it to be played. I for one am enjoying it this way, and it appears many others are as well. People that like things are usually less vocal than people who don't. I'm also OK with the fact I can't run the 24 hrs of Nurburgring just yet, but some day maybe in 6 months or so of playing, I will.
Even with the seasonal events, it was a nuisance to get to level 30. When I unlocked endurance races, it would take multiple runs of the enduros just to level up to do the next one. What was the point? Sure I would eventually get there as long as I did something that gave me XP, but why am I waiting? There is no reason.
Yes, that is the way the game is. But, that's a problem to some people. Why should someone wait 6 months to do Nring 24hr? There is no purpose behind such a delay. Sure I would eventually get anywhere as long as I did something that gave me XP, but why am I waiting? There is no reason.
I am not saying its perfect or its right, but thats just the way it is, not a mistake. I don't think you're going to get that though as I recall you're the same guy who I have had discussions here in the past about the fact you also expect them to give you every single car in the game from the beginning as well.
It's not hard to get at all. However, I'll continue to speak against the leveling system, or at least not having any alternatives. It's a terrible way to make a game, and it's extremely surprising that a company as experienced as PD would let such a bad feature into their games.
It doesn't actually add any longevity. It just makes it take longer to do something. Was PD afraid that everyone would throw the game away after reaching a meaningless level cap? Then why didn't they make the game better to avoid that situation? They could have just copied and pasted the events from GT3 and 4. If the point was longevity, I think the leveing system failed. Not only that, it should have been obvious that it would have failed. It adds no content. Only time.
And yes, I think that unlocks are a terrible idea.
Thats how they designed the game, you are more than fee and welcome to have an opinion on it and not like it, but your opinion doesn't mean their design is wrong.
Of course. However, just because you are fine with it, that doesn't make the decision right either. You don't seem to mind the leveling system, but it doesn't seem that you think it's an outstanding feature (correct me if I'm wrong). Other people however, hate it. There wasn't such a strong dislike of the old system. This is a possible objective measure of quality, the number of satisfied players. It is not in any way a perfect measure, but I feel it's stronger than just saying "the game is the way it is, deal with it."
