wut is drifting?

ok i no this may sound like im really dumb or somethin, but wut is drift?? i raced drift and it doesnt seem any different than regular racing .

Read the READ fIRST! thread on the top of the forum and there's something called the drifting guide. That may help you.

i dont think that that is gonna help... drift is pruposefully breaking traction adn then controlling the car... regualr racing is pushing the car to its limits of grip without exceeding them... this is the basic difference... and they result in very different appearances... look for some vids... ask people and you will see real drift... infact there is a vid section in gtp just for drifting... forgot how to get htere... just search and you will find... oh wait its the second to last pic on the GTPlanet.net page... click it and you will see all the vids i believe... that should be explanation evough
