It's pretty dumb if you ask me, anyone who leaves an electrical mess behind their entertainment center, etc, deserves it, lol.

I never had a probleam I always leave my cords on the side of my tv center thing. I always like to take it around with me so, it would never heat up to that extent.

i have a history with x-box (lots of problems) I'm on my third x-box. and its messing up for some reason.

I own the same ps2 that i got the day they came out. Still works perfect.

Thats why i laugh.........ha.

Why do people argue over systems like this. Xbox has its halo,ps2 has its gran turismo and gamecube has its mario. It's usually the younger kids though since they can only have one system because lack of money so they bash other systems.

I should start making fun of everybody who doesn't own all(not bragging, 4 kids in the family and got one every christmas) of them because I do.

Oh and PS2's(even PSONES)never had the greatest lasers in their cdroms.

PS2 has lots of problems also. PS2 doesn't have Halo 2. That makes it not as good as Xbox right there.

Xbox hasnt got GT4 or Metal Gear. Xbox hasnt even got Final Fantasy which all those weirdoes seem 2 like.

I never noticed that before, good point! My systems are PS2/GameCube/Dreamcast(RIP) and only reason I don't have an xbox is because majority of the games I like are on PS2 & GameCube, and can't afford another system. I prefer my PS2 the most, but other systems are great too(you too, Dreamcast).

PS2 Problems: That damn disk read error that I've tried to have fixed countless times and it always fails.

My coworker had this problem also. My "GT3 Bundle" PS2 performed perfectly, even after I sold it to another(different) coworker. Guy with the problematic PS2 got an Slim PSTwo from his GF though. I'm buying my slim PSTwo next week, so I can play my GT4 on it. 👍

Its a shame that they didn't recall the xbox to replace the ultra reliable Thompson CD drives.

I'm on my 4th PS2...and man..do I love this thing......My first one was beautiful.....I mean playing DVD's and ruining it......The 2nd was even better.....Not playing Blue disc's well so a HD was out of the question...
The 3rd was my prize possetion because it only played Music CD's........
now i'm on my PS2 Slim....And god do I appreciate just how loud an impeller fan is..
I mean...I took it's noise for granted because the one on my graphix car was drowned out by the 3 normal fans on my case....
But this Ps2 SLim......Kudo's to Sony/Boeing who figured out how to make a foot tall box sound like a 747


As for my X box...That piece of crap....I'm still stuck with my original, I hate it...God i'm sick of reliability and consistancy...and ability to watch movies...and....Hard Drive....and.......yeeeaaah...

My bad! I was told the "slim" PS2 didn't come with cooling fan. I checked out some websites and looks like there is an small fan built-in inside.

P.S. I've owned only two PS2s. My old school PS2 had absolutely zero issue. I recently sold it, it's still in perfect shape. My new "slim" PS2 does get warm(no sign of overheat, yet), but it's very quiet.

Exactly ..thats the problem im having right now with my xbox..i got the gta double pack brand new, and unreal2 brand new, and my xbox says the disk is dirty or damaged for gta3 an unreal 2 and most of my other games, only games that work are halo, halo2 and gta vice city, well i wont be buying anymore games for my xbox untill i relplace the dvd drive..damnit i wanted forza too..

As for ps2..my first ps2 kept giving me DRE's after a year and a half or so..i opened it and cleand it..the dre's stopped for a while till one day they wouldnt stop even after i cleaned it, and even adjusted the laser..eventually i bought a new ps2 which is flawless........... for now

So far my gamecube is the only system thats NEVER given me any problems..and i've even left it on over nigth a couple times by accident...just too bad gamecube doesnt have a Big Sim racer

I've never had a problem with my xbox, and its the same one I've always had. But lets not bring up the fact that the new mini PS2's can overheat and fry themselves into oblivion.

My PS2 is starting to sound like crap everytime I open the cdrom drive but it is around 2 years old and never had any problems besides that.

My xbox only had the harddrive die(but then again I put a 120gb in there)with all my games(backups of course) and movies on it. Other then that it has worked flawless.

My gamecube is only a couple months old so of course no problems yet.
