X1s IN EVERY LOBBY!!

Hi guys, this is my first thread, but I just have to let this off. I for one am SICK TO DEATH of entering any lobby I choose, and finding at LEAST 2 X2010s whizzing about, crashing and ramming. No matter what the lobby is about, whether it be a drifting (ye right, x1s drifting, totally, :rolleyes) or a cruising room, the x1 is practically always there to be seen. I do shuffle races alot, but when I feel like taking some of my own cars out, I am greeted by a 290mph bulldozer. The worst part is that alot of the time it's the HOST in an x1, along with his mates. This is really starting to bug me, but no matter what the room name, 9 times out of 10, there Is a blasted x1. PD made a big mistake in giving the x1 away, because now, wherever we go, there are a swarm of noobs right behind us. Just think what it will be like when the x2011 prototype is released in the DLC.....every nine year old in the country playing demolition derby. The X2010 was designed to be the ultimate formula machine. What happens when you make a car where there are no rules or regulations. The problem is, the x1s problem is exactly that. It creates lobbies that are all about no rules or regulations......
 
Visit rooms with restrictions in them. I have never seen X1 online... :p
 
I would have never known that X1's were given out for free if PD had not announced. The X1 population is pretty much the same as it's always been. Low.

That said, they won't be able to get into even lightly restricted rooms. They are also not a problem. Bad drivers are.
 
I was in the open lobby today & joined a really fun Australian car only server . There were no X'1s there.

Try joining a " Restricted " lobby with Bhp or PP restrictions .

Joining any old lobby will sometimes , but not always , be an X1 fest.
 
I believe PD gave it away to try and get rid of the stigma of it being a clown car, It probably pains Kaz to see "NO X1" or "X1=Kick" in the description of 80% of online rooms.

All the kiddos who received their X2010 and never drove the thing before will end up hitting everything in sight ether because they suck or because they believe it's a "290mph bulldozer".

But, you get the guys who can place a clean, fast lap with minimal accidents and that is when you see the true beauty and potential of the X2010.


A car is nothing without a proper driver.
 
Solution is to make weight minimum 800kg. No more X1s.

Totally agree with you. My point is precisely this. The x1 is a beauty. Ruined by little kids, who love to have the "biggest and beat" and harass those who aren't using the "superior vehicle. I love the x1, but I can't help but feel people don't appreciate it's purpose, they just exploit it. :-)

More like 750kg since the x1 with 200 balast is 745kg.

True, but as long as the minimum weight is higher than the x1s weight then problem solved :-)

That would also work fine, although I use 800kg to prevent some other cars from joining (at least in stock form).
 
I've had to close my room many times due to this problem..
 
Now that you mentioned it, has anyone actually tried drifting an X1 ?
 
Would be nice if you had to at least bronze the 3 Vettel challenges in order to use it. Until then you could look at it in you garage.

90% of my lobbies are X1 and the rammers / wrong way drivers are annoying. They havn't learned the respect the X1 requires and deserves.
 
You could also limit the PP to something around 800 or less, as the Redbull has 1000PP

The only real way to stop people from using X1s is to set the weight minimum requirement 201kg above the X1's stock weight.
 
Unfortunately, 90% of what I do is X1 racing. I need a way to weed out the driver lol.

Sometimes I open a X1 test and tune room. I will help if I can with set up etc. Just don't go the wrong way and make an attempt to avoid contact.
 
X1's = Automatic boot from my rooms. :)

Setting PP works better.

But I'll say again, the X1 isn't a problem. When a bad driver enters the room, kick them or tell the host the kick them. Leave if that doesn't happen.
 
It's the driver not the car. Would you feel any better if they show up in Tank Cars?
 
PP Limit sounds correct for rooms. Then if you want FGT, set it up for FGT. If you want Ferrari F1, set it up for Ferrari F1. The rest usually wont get above 750 PP. Even limiting 700PP would pretty much level out anything and everything. When we ran the real circuit tours, I had a hard time getting too many vehicles stably above 700PP. Unless you're running NASCAR vehicles or LMPs, I don't usually see a need for anything above 650.
 
I usually host a cruise lounge, and if I restrict the PP to avoid this problem, everyone leaves..
 
I mostly host Viper/Vette/Enzo rooms. I don't know why some people are compelled to just jump into the X1 when they can clearly see that we are not racing X1's. I don't even bother telling them to change their car any longer, I just boot them.

It's not just the X1. If someone decides to bring a stupid car onto the track I may or may not give them fair warning. I'm tired of wasting my breath dealing with stupidity.

If someone want to race the X1 there are PLENTY of other rooms out there.

I really wish that PD made it so you could only race the X1 with other X1's like with the Ferrari F1.
