Finally some other people that hate X1 lobbies, I go into drift sessions and what do i see every one using the god damm cheap mobile

i was in a cruise and drag room the other night and a noob got an X1 out after i pwned his veyron. the host warned him about 8 times and he refused to change cars. so the host had to kick him.

personally. good X1 drivers have always been as rare as good Ferrari F1 drivers.
meaning you don't see them often in matches.

the easiest way to prevent noobs from using the "290mph bulldozer" is to simply limit pp to 800. preventing X1's and FGT's while allowing LMPs and other cars to join in on the fun

THANK GOD FOR YOU!! You my friend have seen the light. I don't hate the car, just the cocks that drive them into others. Stupid idea giving it away, ruins the whole point of an ultimate driving machine, cos every nine year old has one and thinks "oh, I'm gonna go hate on the poor guy in his 300sl chromeline" screw the noobs, the x1 ain't cool any more.

My phrase "290mph Bulldozer" is growing popular.
Gt5 says that the x2010 is the ultimate driving machine, I say it should say:
"the red bull x2010- the ultimate 290mph bulldozer"
Makes perfect sense :-)

The X1 has definitely gotten a bad wrap because it is an amazing car. But this car should NEVER have been given away like it was. You shouldn't even be able to buy it either. You should have to earn it by completing the Vettal events. Everyone shouldn't have it because very few can actually drive it.

I really wish that PD would have created a Red Bull F1 instead to honor Vettal's championship. Everyone doesn't need an X1.

Find yourself some like minded friends and stick to Private lobbies. I race with full lobbies every night with racers I know as I can't stand open Lobbies. Last time I was in an open lobby I was rammed of the corner on the first lap in my only 2 races. As for X-wings, don't really see them at all.

The only problem with that is the fact that PD don't have the rights to any of the formula 1 car licences, bar Ferrari, who have a more complex deal. This means that PD can't model any current f1 cars apart from ferraris. Therefor, a red bull f1 car ain't possible :-( totally agree with you on your point about it being given away, stupid idea giving it to every lazy noob who couldn't be arsed to work for it. Just wait for the x2011, then online lobby's will be diseased with 9 year olds playing demolition derby :-)

yes "The Redbull X2010-The Ultimate Bulldozer"

personally i never use mine online. because despite the fact that i can drive it without wrecking myself or somebody else. i didn't win it myself.

Your lucky ( I get x1 noobs all the time)
The problem with closed lobbies is that you can't always play with ur m8s when they are offline. :-)

You have won every car you drive?

It's because the host allows the X2010. If you don't like it, then just find another room. There are a lot of rooms that doesn't allow the X2010. If you can't find one to your liking, create your own room.

This is the way its always been.. nothing new.

Stay out of drag/drift/free roam servers and you're fine

Remember when having an X1 made you one of the better racers in GT5? Now it has downgraded to "If you don't use your X1, you will be harassed."

When was this? X1's came for free since the beginning. Anyone could show up in one. I treat X1 drivers now exactly as I did a year ago. They're just another player, and I know nothing about them until I see them drive.

But this car should NEVER have been given away like it was. You shouldn't even be able to buy it either.

Anyone who bought the game deserves the car. Giving X1's away was the right thing to do. There have already been ways to block the car from entering the room, since a long time ago (this is also besides the point since the X1 doesn't cause problems anyway).

if I restrict the PP to avoid this problem, everyone leaves.
Either they're like me and think restricting a room so that anything but the X1 can enter is ridiculous, or they're just being strange. Do you try explaining why you change the restrictions?

I fear you have rather missed the point. THE CAR IS NOT THE PROBLEM. ITS THE WAY IT IT USED AND ABUSED. THE DRIVERS ARE THE PROBLEM. Of course some do race fair with the x1, but the majority are just in it to cause trouble. I think PD should impliment a specific "NO RED BULL X2010" feature for lobbies, so you can ban them if you wish, rather thank lowering pp or hp, or raising weight limit etc. :-)

Funny thing is by tomorrow everyone who bought the new DLC will be riding around in X2011s not X2010s.

If you want good racing try a SHUFFLE room.

+10 Common Sense Points!
I've actually seen that many Shuffle rooms. The ones I've been in had extremely slow cars.

That is and always has been my point.
Sorry, misunderstood your post. But I still don't agree. I can't remember the last time an X1 driver gave me trouble. I sure can remember the last time a Sauber C9, or ARTA Gayria, or road car driver did though.

But of course, that's only my experience. Still, it really can't be argued that the center cause of trouble is the driver. The X1 doesn't force you to run into someone else, and if the driver chooses to make trouble, it's easy enough to be rid of him.

No. What PD should do is implement a "No (insert car here)" feature. The X1 is not special. The bad drivers are the problem.

Kick anyone that joins with a X2010, but give a warning first to change.

Welcome to the internet.

Maybe it should be "Welcome to the world of 10 year olds"

Unfortunately, 90% of what I do is X1 racing. I need a way to weed out the driver lol.

Sometimes I open a X1 test and tune room. I will help if I can with set up etc. Just don't go the wrong way and make an attempt to avoid contact.

Oh I know that feeling, the best way to go about it is pretty much road courses only. Though I can say one very good thing came out of those free X2010s, people now seem willing to learn how to drive it. I've been to multiple X2010 rooms over the past week or so and most people have been trying to learn how to drive them. It's really quite awesome to see.

You have won every car you drive?

pretty much. the only exception would be my Ford Mark IV Race Car and my Ferrari 330 P4 Race Car. and i COULD have won those but i've had trouble getting the PS3 away from my annoying little brother for more than about 15 minutes at a time. and with the prize reduction it would take even longer

Now that you mentioned it, has anyone actually tried drifting an X1 ?

Actually, I have tried it. I went to the extremes by putting Racing Softs on the front and Comfort Hards on the back with the downforce set to the lowest. I merely got a powerslide but it's really, REALLY tough. Much like the FGT in my opinion.

On topic: Out of the hundreds of X2010 drivers I see in random lobbies I go to, I've seen only a handful be able to (and attempt to) actually avoid any obstacle...

Still, I might just have a bias since I just dislike the car in general. It's more of my B-Spec grinder than anything else... :indiff:

hundreds of X2010 drivers

I still don't understand how there could even be so many. The only time I'm in an unrestricted room is when I'm free running, and even then they are rare.

Do so many people really race in rooms without restrictions? And if so, why?

Most drift and drag rooms are unrestricted and there are people in x1's everywhere:rolleyes:

Yeah, they are everywhere, but soon, it will be twice as bad with BOTH the X1 and X11 (thats what i'm calling the new X1 in the dlc)

Blame Sebastian Vettel for not sand bagging half of the 2011 F1 season

If you want good racing try a SHUFFLE room.

I tried a shuffle room for the first time a few nights ago (with ~500pp cars). Most of the drivers were downright terrible, like they thought they were playing Burnout or something. Granted, I suppose a lot of people don't know how to drive effectively on sports hard tires.

All I'm gonna say is that I host a free run TGTT nightly, and on the weekends I host it on-going until Monday morning. No PP limit, no HP limit, no restrictions whatsoever... no visible/mechanical damage, no tire wear, and the room attracts mostly traders but still most people just drive regular cars, race cars, rally cars, and sometimes they whip out the old FGT.

X2010 is old news and I'm sure most people who play have it simply from the limitless trading days. Me personally? I hardly touch the thing. Its really arcadey to me. IMO, doesn't quite fit GT but if people want to drive it I'm not gonna stop them. I used to be all uptight about it also, but hey... what ya gonna do?

Not saying that people don't use it - but it sees fairly moderate play time. In my lobby, its still about Viper vs. Enzo drags :-/ which annoys me more than people driving X1s, but whatevs.
