god i hope you dont need internet connection to play it like for the pc. took me 2 weeks till i was able to finally connect and play it.

Nice. Thought about buying it on PC but my PC struggled a bit with the demo so didn't buy it. Even if it isn't quite as good on Xbox it will still be better than playing it on my old PC.

Wonder when it will be out.

Woot. I have a ghetto pc so I can't play games on it. I was so hoping HL2 would make it to xbox.

Half Life 2 is getting released today. So far all the reviews have been GREAT!! I beat this on the PC and if any of you didnt get a chance to play it on PC I highly suggest you buy it for the x-box. They even said Half Life 2 has all the same levels as the PC version and the graphics are excellent. Since I beat this on the PC I will pick it up some time and give my feedback on the X-box version.
I can even get videos and post them.

I should clearify. Its getting released today but wont be in stores until tomorrow. Even though I own and beat it on PC I will still buy it again for X-box. It is just that good!!! 👍

I haven't been able to tell if it has x-box live or not. Even if it doesn't the single player is the best I have ever played on a FPS.

Man I can't wait for this, comes out tomorrow in NZ. My computer has been too slow to play it and I've read reviews of this which say that it is the best FPS on Xbox, if not the best game. Now that sounds good to me.

Hes not really into FPS especially the ones with the really challenging puzzles. He also doesn't play PC games. If he did he would have to upgrade for HL2.
My girlfriend is going to buy it for me for christmas. Like DG said there are soo many games out and coming out that I wont play Half Life 2 for a little while anyway. Now I just rented Battlefield 2 modern combat and its friggin awesome so I might have to add that to the list also!! Jeez soo many games!!

Ya I rented Battlefeild 2 the other day and I really like it, but some of the mission are hard as hell.

Ooooh, HL2 is wicked! Better than Far Cry Instints IMHO. More thinking mans FPS than FCI. I have yet to be stuck in HL2 because everything that you need to progress in there in the enviroment with you. And the physics are very cool. I haven't got very far yet but I was in an area where there was a ledge just a bit too high to climb out of the water onto. Hmmm.

I swim down, looking for clues. A culvert with boards across it, surely heres another way out. I start hacking away at the boards, they break and up floats a big wooden cable spool. Hmmm again. I swim up, discover that I can stand on the spool and push it over to the ledge to climb up. It's a great example of how the physics engine is so awesome.

You should play BF2 on PC, then your see what is the better version.

I would but my PC would need to run it on Atari 2600 graphics setting to play smoothly and a holiday in the coming january has put to bed any thought of a new PC

Yes absolutely. I posted my review in the BF2 thread and it is a game worth buying for the x-box if your comp isnt up to speed. Online and single player are great in BF2:MC.
If Half Life 2 is only single player I might get Battlefield 2 modern combat. I am returning Need for speed most wanted tonight for full credit since it sucks so bad. So with that money($60 black edition) I need to get something.
No matter what I will have Half Life 2 for x-box by christmas.

It is confirmed that Half Life 2 for the xbox is single player only. I still plan on getting it I am just not sure if I will use the NFSMS money or if I will let my GF get it for me for christmas. Hmm Get Battlefield 2 modern combat or Half life 2 today. hmm

I have it and beat it for the PC but I just had to have it for the xbox. I returned NFS:MW and got this instead.

WHOA!! My first impression is very impressive so far when it comes to the graphics. Here is a video of the intro to the game for xbox. The sound is awesome but I can only record in mono sorry but I recorded the video in medium quality. Still very impressive so far. Dont worry more videos coming soon.

I played for about an hour and a half last night and so far the game and game play are almost identical to the PC. The graphics are very very close too. I am currently at the end of level 3 “Route Kanal” I am just about to hop onto the hovercraft and will be at level 4. Water Hazard. 👍
I have to admit xbox did an amazing job with this game.

I dont see anything weong with getting it for xbox if you have the pc version. I totally hate steam and its whole concept along with the 30min+ game install process.
