Yup thats right 14 chapters. The last one is called dark something. The last one is the eye candy of the game and something really cool happens in that level that you will want to video for sure. You will know when it happens.
I actually went back on the PC version and played that level over and over several times. 👍

im on level 9 now and level 8 ( SAND TRAPS) was crazy, the creatures in that leval are like the movie TREMORS where they come after you when you walk on the sand but they dont detect you when you walk on rocks 👍

I think at the end of level 8 you get that "sack" and when you throw it the antlions follow you. Did you get that? I thought that was a really cool part of the game controlling the ant lions and having them attack people.

yup, its also good because you can throw the sacks and distract the enemy.

but at the same time thay get annoying at times lol.

You will enjoy it. Make sure to take cool pics and videos like we did. HL2 will keep you busy for many hours. I assume you bought the XBOX version.

Yeah i bought the xbox version, my PC cant run HL1 so i had to wont be playing till later however as i dont have my own xbox and need to use my dads

Im on Route Kanal now where that big wooden bridge is ,i blew half of it up thinking it was a good idea but then couldnt find a weay out so guess it was a bad idea, looked good though, tired for now so more tomorrow

Cool glad your having a good time. The game only gets better and better as you progress. Just wait until you get the graviton gun which isnt much further. Have fun with "Dog" when you get to that point.
You are right the physics in Half Life 2 are untouchable. No other game even comes close to comparing.
I think the last time I played I was at “Nova Prospekt” which is level 9. I could easily play this game over and over again on the xbox or the PC. Both very good.

It would look exactly the same. I played several xbox games on the 360 when I rented it and they werent any different at all.

I know you have read all my HDTV threads. Yes it was on my new Sony HDTV and it was with Monster Component cables. It was more colorful but the graphics and clearity were only a little better. No difference on a regular TV at all.
I tried it in 480p, 720p and 1080i.

I just played this again last night for the first time in a while. I just got out of "Nova Prospeckt" and now I am on level 10 “Entanglement”.

Has anyone played this on a 360 yet, through its software.

IGN said the game doesnt look any prettier, but there are more problems with slowdowns when played on the 360 vs the 87-octane XBOX.

I think the only game that differences have been aparent in was Halo 2, but that was only because the graphics "pop-in" wasent as sparatic and the anti-aliasing was turned way, way down.

Of course, much of that could be because of the greater HD support of the 360 as compared to the XBOX.

...BTW: This game kicks ass, but it takes up too much time. I do have to sleep ya know!

I had a chance to play this for about an hour last friday. I just got past the combine ambush part where you set up the 3 turrets to keep yourself alive. Took several tries but I finally got it. I remembered this part from the PC version so when I got to this room on the xbox version I took couple minute break and got prepared for the battle. Right after that Alyx came in the room so now im ready to continue the game.

The last level is sooo good! Cant wait to get there again. I already beat it on PC just going thru on xbox version now. They did an excellent job on the xbox version IMO.
