I've been waiting for a few people to buy it first before I take the plunge. I like the idea, but I don't listen to enough Radio thanks to the MP3 supply on the internet ;)

"And Gordon takes another left hand turn, now he's accelerating onto the straghtaway, here comes another left hand turn Now it's back onto the straightaway." Repeat.

Oh, you hit the nail on the head, there...

It's pay because the station only makes money from Local sponsers in most cases. The XM radio people pay to have the stations on their system, and make nothing off of the original sponsers so to pay for their expenses they must charge a fee.
It's the difference between having 10-20 radio stations (less if you live in rural areas, more if you live between 2 large cities.) and literally hundreds and hundreds. Don't want to pay? Fine, then all you get is the basics.
It would be a nice feature to have if I still drove as much as I used to, but my time behind the wheel is a fraction of what it used to be.

Well I understand that, but I still dont think I should pay for it, but if you like it than thats cool. These days we have to pay for everything and radio is one of the last things these days you get free, so I dont think (on top of car payments, insurance payments, gas, and everything esle) Ill be getting it.

whos going to pay 200 (where i live) for radio sure its comercial free and then 50 a month that is cheap
