"You know what they say about cellists; we do it in a chair with our legs spread wide."

Awful, awful, awful movie, but that line will always stick with me.

Never seen the movie (had to look it up) but excellent quote for sure :)

I was looking up some old Fiat models and their derivates (Fiat 500, 600, 850, Puch 500, 126, all small cars using RR layout with various inline and flat engines). When I was inspecting the Puch 650 TR pictures (the sport/racing version of the Puch 500), I saw something I never noticed before: the
Intermeccanica Puch IMP 700 GT Coupé. It uses the Puch base including the 645cc flat twin with 40hp and I'd say it looks very nice, especially in this yellow.

Zender Vision 3 - pictures taken by yours truly - aka the worst photographer ever - with a Nokia 3650 (if you don't know it - young whippersnappers -, look it up, looks interesting, let's just say that) during Summer 2006 somewhere on the German A6 Autobahn between Heilbronn and Nuernberg. Pretty sure the most unique car I've ever seen on the road.

It looks like a car from Ridge Racer Type 4 and all the better for it.

1995 Michalak Challenge-R. Michalak, a German coachbuilder, wanted to create a Dodge Viper that would look and feel similar to the A/C Cobra, yet still remain a Viper. The modifications were cosmetic-only. One was made, but the car never found a buyer, and it is rumoured that the Challenge-R was subsequently dismantled.

And here's another unlikely Dodge, the 1970 Dodge Challenger R/T by the Italian stylehouse Frua. Hard to believe that this started out as a Challenger, as there is virtually zero resemblance to it!

Finally, the 1976 Chevrolet Camaro Europa by Frua.

Seriously, people bought the rather hideous Gemballas or some other stupid stuff (can't even remember their names, for whatever reason Mansory comes to my mind but there are definitely others, too), how come this never found a buyer? It looks pretty good, no gaudy details, very clean...

Reminds me of a Maserati Ghibli, which is one of my favorite cars ever. Really like this one.

Yea that's a 4th gen Focus Estate we get here across Europe, with the previous 3rd gen Focus not replaced and pulled from the US market along with the other non SUV/Mustang like the Focus. To be honest, it looked quite dull when they initially announced the 4th gen, but seeing it along with new Fiesta on the roads and I feel it looks quite handsome with Fords current design language, unlike it's SUV/CUV offerings...

It reminds me of the Buick wagon.

Chinese Ford Escort

Chinese Ford Taurus

It's essentially a Chinese built Focus Sedan and a long wheel base Chinese Fusion/Mondeo respectively. How did i find out about it tho? Simple.

Because Ford have discontinued the Taurus, Fusion, Focus and Fiesta from our Gulf/Middle Eastern markets, Ford realised that we were only left with the Mustang and Ford Figo (a tiny Indian eco box) in terms of cars as everything else were crossovers, SUVs and trucks.

So what did they do? They decided to do what GM have done 20 years ago in our market by taking the Chinese market Taurus & Escort and then selling them over here as the "next generation" of such cars.

The Taurus is actually pretty roamy inside especially the back seats in comparison to the American based Taurus. The Escort however is just a cheap, ugly, oudated 2000s Focus and i would argue its worse than the last gen Focus.
