The creator of this thread must have had a death wish to be OWN3D by GTPlanet members. And so far, it's been out. Now in the past, I thought the new Logitech wheel was going to come out along with GT4. But I made a thread in these forums called "But I Thought..." where I seen the new Logitech wheel at a Best Buy in... March or May in Pasadena, TX, USA. Of course, California gets every damn thing before anyone else in America does, seems like. So it's new to some of us.

Anyhow, unless you mean having a different kind of Logitech wheel that will be compatible, then this thread is basically a clinic of what being PWN3D is like. And it's just another drill for Moderators like Der_Alta or VatMan or even the great Giles_Guthrie. In fact, this wheel probably been out so long that Logitech is making its GT4 steering wheel to Mercury, Venus, Mars, and even as far out as Pluto (hey, even aliens love Gran Turismo! (^_^)). Thread closed? We'll see if it will before September begins.

Quality... Id rather pay useing the Wont Not Credit System. i feel its more consistent than magic beans that are obviously not of consistent size / shape.


I want the "Driving Force Ultimate", clutch pedal, detatchable gear stick mountable at either side of the wheel or seperate from it. force feedback pedals, and that will just about do. £150 rrp

Unfortunately, the answer is no. The Driving Force Pro was already created by Logitech under comission from Polyphony having GT4 in mind, so, it's not gonna happen...

Unless they make a variation using "F1" paddles behind the wheel instead of the shifter, like the original Driving Force. But it's almost impossible.

The DFPro does have F1 style paddle shifters as well, they are very small, but I use them all the time. On a powerful car like McLaren F1 you don't want to be taking your hands off the wheel with the FFeedback set on strong

I kinda wish the shifter would have been on a separate place with a connector cord, so when I build my DFP cockpit I can have the shifter to my right, not next to my wheel.

It wont matter as Tacet Blue Eludes to above ^^^.

The novelty of using the shifter wears off quite fast, and is actually easier and quicker to use the small buttons on the back of the wheel to change gear.

You may as well cut the shifter off.

The should be able to make a REAL steering wheel with all of the controls for cheaper.....hell, put all of the controls on my 1991 mazd 626, and make the windshield a plasma screen, that would be sweet !

You could salvage your own dashboard from a junk heap with a real shifter, a reall wheel.......and hell! even real switch gear (lights and wipers! ) and hook it up to your ps2 for cheaper than the DFP.....also it would be more "realistic"!

I'm new to this kinda computer and threaddie stuff, hence my first post!!!! Been enjoying reading the thread but am in need of a serious answer.....as follows.....

I'm hopelessly addicted to GT, all of them! I'm looking to buy the new Driving Force Pro wheel, but will it work satisfactorily with GT3, and hate to ask but F1 2002 and Driv3r?
You can tell I'm a mechanic and not an IT bod.......just pure petrolhead!!!

I think Madduck was pulling your leg...quite succesfully by the looks of it


317718 yes the DFPro works on GT3 but not in 900degree mode, and you still have the steering assists applied. Currently GT4P and GT4 are the only games to support 900degree. According to the box these other games are supported (but not 900*)
