Oh wow, I've had a pretty good run for the past 9 days, only 2 dupes received. :D A bit of turnaround compared to the previous 9 days which gave me 6 dupes. :irked:
After receiving the F40 on Tuesday I am also very happy that my new addition gifts for yesterday & today are....

I was wondering what everyone else did with the extra cars, I have been deleting them as well since we don't have the stockyard anymore...
 
I've been keeping them, I used to change liveries or colours so not to have exact dupes, but my garage is so big now I rarely go down deep enough to even see them.
Also it would be horrific if PD give us the ability to sell them in the future and I had been deleting them.

I hadn't thought that they might give us the ability to sell them off in a future update, I might start keeping them now. Is our garage limited to a certain number of cars, like in GT6 it was 500 ( a lot but I still hit the limit)?
 
In the last week, I have gotten the VW Sambabus N100 (2nd), VW Beetle Gr.3, McLaren Ultimate VGT Gr.X, Lexus LC500 N500 (4th), Toyota FT-1 VGT Gr.X, Ford Focus Gr.B Rally Car Gr.B (2nd), and the BMW i3 Gr.X. Not a bad haul. Even though there are a couple duplicates, it sure beats a poke in the eye. I've not done any online racing but really enjoy challenging myself and the AIs. I am also working on a few liveries. It doesn't take a lot to make this ol' man happy.

This game is cruelly designed to give you progressively worse rewards the longer you participate in the daily workouts. As your garage grows the chance of a duplicate car from the daily workout grows until 99% of the time you will be disappointed. This is a lot of disappointment to inflict upon everyone and I consider it predatory.

While you aren't paying for this daily loot box in money you are paying for it in time. And the duplicates are cruel.

Gran Turismo Sport will have a fairer loot box system if it eliminates duplicates. I would define a duplicate as the same car model in the same manufacturer's official colour. Winning a car in a particular colour will also win you that paint colour to use for liveries.

Under this definition of a duplicate there will be enough non-duplicates to keep Polyphony Digital going for years. And even if you are disappointed by the car and colour you win today you can be pleased it will never happen again. After playing the game for years your garage will look spectacular. Every model of car in every manufacturer colour.

Polyphony Digital did manage to burn down the notion of car collecting through the disappointment of duplicates.

Probably, by end of this year, at this rate, I will get every car in every colour......
And, about the duplicates, I´ll just keep them, just in case if there will be a trading option in the future, or by just adding different liveries into them......
I just hope that the rewarding system will get a lot better in the future updates.....
