No more event in which I can partake in the GT League Pro (don't have the required cars), so I went to give another try to the SF19 event in amateur league.
My first try was a bit like my initial try : unable to diminish the time between me and 1st, and barely keeping touch with the last one (lost 8s to him...).
But a difference was present compared to my initial try in this event, at the end of my "career" in amateur league. I don't feel you need to be a ninja to be able to race those cars, they are fast but much more manageable with my current skills.
My best lap was around 1'23, and I saw that n°1's best lap was 1'20
I went into the "upgrade" options for this car, thinking that maybe there was something to upgrade but no.
So I decided to see why I was losing so much to the 1st. I watched the replay (remind me of cutting every music next time) to see how he goes in all the turns.
Strangely I could not see his brake light going on, so I had to rely on engine noise (damn music!) and visual impression.
I immediately noted some braking points, much farther than the one I was taking.
OK ! Let's go back, I need distance for my DWG !
This time I managed to not only keep up with the pack but climb my way to 4th, with 1st 3s ahead... and two laps to go, MUCH BETTER
Alas... I've been punted hard in the chicane before the end of the lap. Do AI care about sportmanship or what ?

I lost 3 spots because of number 5 making me do a 360, but it was even worse in final lap, where I've been massacred in the same chicane, we ended up in a big mess with cars all over the place, and I finished 7 by the time I managed to move in the right way.
Oh and I've got the fastest lap with 1'19.XXX
Quite frustrating but 2 good points : those cars are not too fast anymore, and I have better braking points.
I need to practice more in this event and that track, to increase my margin and pass that chicane as fast as possible each time to avoid being crucified on the rails. But I think I can win, with clean laps.
