i woner why people keep comparing GT5 to forza. They DON'T have the same fanbase and they DON'T aim for the same crowd. Forza is exclusive to xbox as GT to playstation. They don't compete against each other and try to steal each others crowds because their on seperate systems.

that aside from what i've seen recently we still haven't gotten the Acura NSX concept yet so that's obviously on my list. as well as the SSC ultimate aero and other super cars that i would've loved in the game. Who wouldn't like a premium konieggseig agrea or something of the like in the game :D.

They are games targeting the same audience on rival systems, and they compete for licenses from companies and such. Thus there is a tension. Also, they are probably saving a lot of cars for GT6. Would you rather have to buy them now or get them free (real money wise) as premiums in a new Gran Turismo game? A lot of you guys are right, they could be making a killing off of DLC right now, but instead of doing that they probably plan to put them in the next game as premiums, to our benefit (at least our wallets). Also it would be great if we could get PD the license for Rolls-Royce, also in a new DLC I would like to see: the new ford taurus, the saleen boss mustang, a new ford F-150 SVT, and a school bus for craps and giggles.

Which begs the question: If they'll make a bunch of money on DLC, why not just release the DLC and put all that new content into the next game? If you don't want to buy it, don't. But a lot of people are willing to pay for additional content upfront, even if that content will be available for free sometime in the future. But then again, it's Mr Bad Management Yamauchi we're talking about here. I'd be surprised if he has any thought-out DLC plans whatsoever.

I'm not too sure if someone has mentioned these before, maybe even myself as I've got a terrible memory. But...

This is even sponsored by Gran Turismo, so KY has a good reason to include it... they could also include the road going version, too. I'd no doubt have the Mondeo in every colour available, then all the chromes... I'd have a very large collection. Can you tell I love the Mondeo yet? :p

y u no +1 the SSC. If that car made it into the game i would smack the veyron silly everytime i get on route x with a room full of veyrons:):sly:.

If the current veyron super sport made it into the game It would beat the SSC. Yep, they make a veyron...thats faster. Just to hold on to the record.
 
The original 1959 minis in an Italian job dlc, with the Alfa as the pace car and samba bus with British flags on and the land rover and bus and a full Italian job map

It's very strange. As CorvetteConquer said, are about four months since the last DLC. The community needs an answer, Kaz!

doubt it considering the nsx concept hasn't come yet and the moteig track seen in GTA. Could be that he's planning to release everything in one big DLC. Also don't forget the scanning of bathrust, which will hopefully make it into GT5, and the 2012GTR also seen in a screen for GTA
 
Honestly this thread really shows who is a true fan of Gran Turismo and who isn't. Just because they haven't released DLC in a few months people are saying how everything Forza does is better. They don't even need to make DLC for this game, I really like Polyphony Digital for the main reason of them still updating a year old game and releasing DLC. How many other games do you see that are a year old with patches and DLC still being developed?

Yes but they are at least working to fix that instead of just forgetting about it and making GT6.

I don't understand why people try to define what makes a "true fan". I can easily say people who are happy with some of PD's decisions with GT5 when they're capable of doing better based on previous GT games aren't true fans. It goes both ways.

I was going to post a response to his original quote, but I didn't feel it necessary.

At the end of the day, you should feel NO obligation or NEED to defend a giant company. You are a fan, and that is all. You are business to Sony and to PD. I fail to see the point in defending the GT franchise or the other racing franchises. Simply play, criticize, compliment...but to defend and call yourself a "true fan", well then you're labeling yourself and it looks quite terrible. Been a "fan" of GT since a I was a little boy, but I have no obligation to fight for PD or to create answers/justifications for anything they do. If I dislike something, I'll point it out and laugh at them. If I like something, I encourage their continued path forward. Regardless, doesn't make me more or less of a fan.

I think Dlc will arrive tommorow. Has anybody notice pd always waiting till t10 drops some DLC. Porsche pack is out so Maybe tommorow new announcements will arrive. edit: dont get your hopes up..

They should include the drag racing as a special event. And have it be like the nascar one. If they ever release a patch like spec 2.0 again
