My local Japanese grocery store stocked up on bunch of softdrinks, and guess what, they finally got it! I drank it right after basketball over the weekend. It tasted similar to "Pocari Sweat" from what I remember(but I haven't had that drink in a decade or two :D). Tasted little condensed, so next time, I'll try watering it down. ;)

hehe, well I wished we had a shop like that over here. Maybe in Duesseldorf in Northern Germany, afaik that is the city with most japanese people on one place outside Japan, well at least that has been the case some years ago ;).

However, back to the softdrink topic ;). Yeah Pocari Sweat tastes similar, but it's nowhere near as delicious as an ice cold Aquarius :D It's missing the intense grape flavor, you know :). Ice cold and fresh, that is important. It tastes mediocre at best when it's warm, and it starts to taste below average if it is old. So make sure to drink it ice cold on a hot day after sports. But check the date on the bottle, because old Aquarius tastes like... ;)....

Welcome to AQUARIUS CITY :D

This is old!

Well, besides beer (see beer thread), it's:

1. Red Bull (on ice)
2. Orangina (perhaps not a great name for english markets)
3. Coke / Coke Zero
4. Starbucks I-won't-sleep-tonight coffee.

My favourite drink isn't listed, I really like Strongbow, but off that list I'm partial to a cup of Tea, me and Mrs Doyle would have got on superb.

Caffine free diet coke is starting to catch up with coffee, I dont think you can ever get 2 more oppisite drinks yet I love them both.

Coffee has to be my #1. A pot a day keeps the doctor away I always say. 👍
Wow, I rhymed my answer.

Mine are none of those choices, though I chose Other Soft Drink, ignoring the "Soft Drink" part of it.

Favourite Drinks:
Milk
Juice (anything from Orange to Mango)

Favourite Alcoholic Drinks:
Beer
  • Carlton Cold (no Brett, not Carlton Cole)
  • Tooheys New
  • Tooheys Extra Dry
  • Stella Artois
  • Stella Artois Malt
  • Pilsner Urquell
  • Budweiser
  • Heineken
  • Crown Lager
I also enjoy bourbon whiskey (specifically Wild Turkey, Jim Beam, Southern Comfort and Jack Daniels) though only bottled, canned bourbon tastes like really bad syrup, scotch whiskey (specifically Johnny Walker) and rum (specifically Bundaberg Rum).

V. Lots of V.

I drink so much I can detect a taste difference between different bottles.
The best V is from the green bottle with the black cap. Slightly inferior to this is V from the new brown bottles. And last is green bottle V with the green cap. Has a poor aftertaste compared to normal green bottle V.

Sugarfree V is just crap as is red V and black V.

Lately I've also been drinking a lot of V8. The healthy factor makes it taste a little better, though by no means am I claiming that V8 is great-tasting!

My favourite drink varies with time and mood. At the moment it's got to be Tango or Fanta. Got a 2 litre bottle of Tango by my side right now :D

Either sparkling water or Coke.

As for alcoholic. Anything really. Everything but gin and brandy. I have a niche for Beer (Green bottle) Or Burbon.

Barq's root beer , Home distilled water 👍, honorable mention to Mountain Dew Baja Blast, and of course tea. (Mostly sweet and iced, but I do enjoy a proper cup of tea now and then.)

I bought a countertop water distiller a few weeks ago. It leaves about 6 ounces of water (along with everything thats not H2O) in the boiler to discourage scale build-up. If you could see and smell it you'd never drink straight from the tap again. :yuck: I'm looking into whole-house water filters now.

I drink plain tap water all the time. So called "contaminates" aren't going to hurt you unless your water has color, odor, or true taste, anyway. Filters are for wussies...:D

Don't even get me started on bottled water. Like Kroger's natural "spring water", straight from the fresh, natural Miami Municiple Water Supply springs...
