Whilst browsing YouTube a couple of weeks ago I came across the attached video. I found myself asking
if money was no object, what 200 cars would form part of my personal collection? I have been building it ever since
starting at low 300 PP levels. Each car is rebuilt (as would happen in real life) and taken to Practice mode. I usually put in about 3 laps. This is a test drive
and determines whether its worthy of joining The Collection
and why. If I like it, its taken to The Ring (24 hour track), Spa, Le Mans and Monaco for many laps. Its then favourited (added to the collection) and I move on. So far, in two weeks I have just 15 cars that were found worthy. But my hit rate has been very good and no cars have yet been rejected. I am expecting this to keep me busy for at least a couple of months. Some of the cars will be raced offline and online. I am liking this approach. It makes things a little personal as there is a bit of a fantazing aspect but then I get to be involved with the cars in a bigger way than before. In the past I chose based purely on PP level and potential performance after tuning. I have now realized that if you choose cars based on whether you would want them in real life or not, things get a lot more interesting.
