I have to say I am having a blast on the road version of this new track, what's your favorite version of this fabulous track?

Road course.. So challenging to be fast..
The super speedway is the most fun oval in the game that's for sure.

The road course - have spent most of my time doing 40 lap mini-enduros in LMP spec cars. There's so much time to be gained (or lost) between 130R and turn 10 Hairpin curve.

I played it in GT4 not in GT5 yet but I prefer the Super Speedway over the rest.

The Super Speedway. I'm a NASCAR fan myself and this is the perfect track to race stock cars.

Road course for me too, just something about the layout that really suits me. although really enjoying the speedway too.

Oh yes, this but even driving alone... it feels good! :dopey:

Agreed, some of those corners need realy good throttle control to maintain a good line and pace

1. Take a high power 4WD car.
2. Go to Motegi Speedway and put tire wear/fuel consumption on.
3. Completely wear out all the tyres.
4. Insane drifting.

I bought it primarily for the Super Speedway. It's been a staple in the legend that is "Gran Turismo". ;)

The oval, what else, lol. It takes me 15 extra min. to drive to the store that is only 4 blocks away just because of my undying love to only turn left, lol. Thats not counting the extra 5 min. it takes me to crawl through the window and get all buckled in, lol.

The Road course is brilliant, and I really disliked Motegi in GT4. I don't know what has changed, but driving it in this game feels so much better. Raced SuperGT and GroupC around the track, works very well with the two different classes of car.

Did have a blast at Twin Ring Motegi West course though, 580pp Supercars. F40 vs SLR was awesome fun. The tight right/left chicane shortcut back to the main circuit is tough, otherwise the blast up and down the straights are just made for cars that favor speed more than cornering

I revisited a couple of V12 Supercars I'd previously had a bit of trouble with. I chose to run them on the East Course, namely the Murcielago LP640 and the McLaren F1 (with ABS off of course). I have to say, these two were a lot of fun, and surprisingly close in lap times, with the McLaren having amazing turn-in but fairly snappy throttle-oversteer, and the Lamborghini was surprisingly docile, unless the high centre of gravity pushed the rear out. Otherwise it was very quick out of corners thanks to the rear-biased 4WD, and surprisingly quick mid-corner. I had much more fun driving these two than the Ferrari Enzo I tried next...

The Enzo, by comparison, had a lot of power, but an explosive torque curve and a tendency to waste time by snapping into wheelspin and smacking the rev-limiter. Through the second half of the double-chicane the Enzo wanted to understeer wide of the exit, where the McLaren's front end stayed planted, with a hint of mild oversteer. I couldn't brake quite as late in the Enzo either as the other two. It was much, much easier to post consistent laptimes in the McLaren and Lamborghini than the Enzo.

In short - I reckon the East Configuration is a great place to benchmark stock Supercars, with a good combination of high-speed sweepers, long straights, hard braking zones, low-speed corner exits and tricky left-right transitions.

Oh and the laptimes?

Lamborghini LP640 1:30.8
McLaren F1 1:29.8
Ferrari Enzo 1:29.7
