Simple question: Which is your favourite mint?

No doubt I'll have left something obvious out of the poll, but I've tried to find as many as I can think of.

Tic Tac's all the way.

They don't last long, which can be good or bad.

If your out on a date and just got done with dinner, and need to pop a mint before you plan to any liplocking, tic tacs are good. Fast dissolving, very effective.

Altoids. It knocks out bad breath like this:

Mint Imperials by far, but I have a box of After Eights in the kitchen.

You forgot Eclipse mints. Cinnamon, peppermint, and wintermint; best things ever.

Wrigley's double-mint gum is also good.

Royal...

I like loads of them, but if I've to pick one, it would have to be a mint cream... no, softmints.... no, after eights.... no, imperials....

How come there's nae neeps in yer mince & tatties?

Kramer: Who's gonna turn down a Junior Mint? It's chocolate, it's

peppermint-- it's *delicious*!

Jerry: That's true.

Kramer: It's very refreshing!

Polos, closely followed by soft mints and Mint Imperials.

I hate chewing gum. The texture, the chewing and the way people dispose of it.

Omnis

I was bound to miss something. I went to a couple of sweet websites to try to get all the common ones, but neither of them had Eclipse mints and I've never seen them before, sorry. I left chewing gum out because you don't really eat it (well, you're not supposed to), so I don't really consider it a mint.

The problem with Royal mint products is that they hurt my teeth :(

That was the only picture of mince & tatties I could find on Google Images.

edit: Just realised I forgot Fox's Glacier Mints too :(

I like Altoids and Mentos mints. The Mentos ones are chewy and just plain awesome, and the Altoids are, well, curiously strong. But you forgot to mention Halls--they're a sexual phenomenon around these parts. They taste pretty good too.

Agreed! I love Junior Mints and always pick up a box at the theatres.👍

I can't take Altoids. I just don't like the taste.

👍 So true! Junior mints and tic tacs are the best!

Altoids. Especially the gum. Very poweful mints.

Here's an interesting mint fact:
There's a reason mints use diluted mint extracts. Why? Pure mint oil is too strong, and can be deadly. Just one drop of undiluted mint oil on your tounge can be potent enough to cause your throat to swell closed, killing you via suffoction.

No, real men can make a Halls work magic on a girl like the one who really does look better the smaller she is.

Softmints!! A 3 pack is gone in under 6 hours with me :D So damn addictive.

Love 'em.

I remembered another one. Not so much a mint as chocolate, but whatever. Andes Mints:

Holy crap, how could I forget these. Growing up as a kid, our family used to buy Andes Mints for the holidays.

Jr. Mints were my favortie movie snack, next to popcorn. Haven't had them in years, since I haven't been to the movies in years.

I hate mint chocolates. The smell of them always give me instant headaches. Seriously, it's bad. Like, I think they wrap Andes mints in green because it's (assuming I am superman) my kryptonite.

Anyway, Eclipse mints pretty much own. They're made by Wrigley's too.

I once ate a whole tin of winterfrost in one schoolday. Winterfrost (front; half-blue, half-white) is more addictive and the Peppermints are more powerful. Cinnamon tastes amazing as well.

I hate Altoids, though. They're only good for one thing:

I like Altoids, but my favorite is Junior Mints. Even the package is refreshing looking. 👍 For my breath, I usually chew on Trident "White". Ones with the crunchy shells.

What exactly is that Omnis? I see it has something to do with audio, but it's battery powered. I have no clue. But whatever it is I want to make one--you got a link to direction and whatnot?

Back to mints, I'm off to the movies a little later and I have to remember to buy some Junior Mints. They're, like, goodinator. And the chocolate mints, well, they clean your breath but dirty your teeth. They aren't good for da cluuub.

Keef, it's a headphone amplifier. I've built two. The first was a failure (pretty sure I posted it in the electronics section), and the second one I gave away. Go here for more info: http://tangentsoft.net/audio/cmoy-tutorial/

Anyway, which were the life-savers that spark when you bite them? I think it was the wintergreen ones. When they crack in half, they discharge a small amount of electricity... I think I saw that on mythbusters.

Thanks for the linkinator

I remember back in elementary we chewed on some of those Life-Savers mints and made sparks. We would turn the lights out and if you got the mint to crack really hard you could see it. I think kids with fillings and braces weren't allowed to do it.
