Why did they limit the search results to just 100 now and can you set it to find more or all?

Jordan done it because it was putting tremendous strain on the server finding 1000 results. That's what he said anyway. I'm not sure if you can change the amount of results. I don't think you can.

Wow, just look at the random stroy thread. And it all started from my post here.

My first thread was a retard newb one under PublicSecrecy. ND4SPD put me under the impression this was a "2nr" website and I held a poll see how many people wanted to go to California.

......yes, I know.......

The problem for newbies now are the searches are limited to 100 results. They were 1000 results a month or two ago.

That's the way they were is september 2004!

Does anyone else remember a thread that appeared in the rumble strip last month, which started off something like "You're all ghay! Only me and my friends aren't ghay, wouldn't it be funny if there were ghay midget chavs..." - that was weird! It got deleted in the end i think, and the guy got blocked!

There isn't a way to set it to find more than that.

Like Solid lifters, I couldn't find my first thread due to (far and away) exceeding the 100 results limit. In fact, I can't even search in a few forums without exceeding the limit.

Actually, you only have to get a bit creative to find your earliest posts - many people forget just how flexible and useful our advanced search really is. For example, to find your oldest threads: enter your username in the "search by username" field,
select "Find threads started by user," and sort results by "Thread start date" in ascending order. And there you have it.

I think my first post had something to do with how I liked using the S2000 in GT3.

i revived it! :)

Actually, my first thread wasn't noobish. I read a lot fo ra month or two before i did

It's an fun thread. I'm glad you revived it! 👍

I've created only three threads so far. Here's my first thread. https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/showthread.php?t=59078 I read and posted a lot, before I actually started a thread, so I'd like to think it wasn't "noobish". Too bad the subject wasn't that great.....

Mine was a complete n00b thread about favourite drift car, im sure the exact thread would have been on the next page.

Ouch?!

Yeah, lame posting was my hobby back then. :D

EDIT: Noticed I was a member in Feb., but didn't post until Oct. Wow, I was a stalker. :D

Hey guys, go to search, punch your name in in the space where it says, "search by user" Then go down to where it says "sort results by" and select "in ascending order". Bingo, the first result is your first post ever.

Ok, heres mine: 0-400 times post number 26.

this however was my worst: Impreza 22B at laguna seca

That's pretty rare for a member's first thread to blast off like that, and I'm sure its still going.👍

Nope, it's as dead as it can be. Probably all the way down in page 31,975, but I have more time now for WRS and uhh....yeah, life. :dopey: :indiff:

257 of my 361 posts came from that thread....
