What resolution are you running at? Because for anything under 1920 that's overkill!! BIG TIME!!

Get a single 6950 and flash it to a 6970....it's easy and works like a charm! COD Black Ops runs @ 90 FPS constantly at 1920 on my rig...with EVERYTHING cranked up.

Try using 32MB Intel Graphics with a 1.1GHz Intel Celeron CPU. That was after I rebuilt the PC with a new motherboard for a customer. That's youtube 240p and not in fullscreen after changing the windows shell(Google LiteStep, it was really helpful to reduce Win XP RAM use from 260MB to 160MB on bootup) to make it use less CPU and RAM.

I'm so glad I don't have to deal with that with my GeForce 9300(slightly overclocked, Desktop PC) and GeForce GT 240M(laptop, default clock).

Nothing less. I should be picking up either an entirely new monitor (24 inches is the minimum for me now, my Gateway TFT has spoiled me rotten) or another 24-incher to add on to my Gatey.

I sold my AMD HD 5850 and bought a HD 6950 . It wont ship for 2-5 weeks though so i am stuck using my backup GTS 250. Unlocking the extra shaders doesn't seem to do much for performance. i wonder if it will increase temps.
