Has to be a bug, surely. That's average 12+ hours every day for 15 months. Maybe out there there's someone who has done that, but I doubt that there's two of them.

You couldn't do that and hold down a full time job, for example. Unless your job was to play the game. You'd be working 8 hours, then playing 8 hours a night and 16 hours a day on weekends. Every day, for 15 months. No breaks, no sick days, no holidays, because there's not really any extra time to catch up with. Technically it's possible. Realistically, unless someone says that's specifically what they did I think it's safe to assume bug.

I suspect some sort of glitch where it doesn't stop counting when you leave a race. I had one of those in Steam, I've got something like 250 hours on pCARS just because the .exe didn't terminate properly one night. Realistically I've probably got more like 50-60 hours on it, and I didn't notice until one of my friends messaged me. He'd noticed I'd been playing the same game for like a week straight and was worried I had died in front of my computer. :P

One way to accomplish this is by doing hot laps in arcade mode and simply parking your car somewhere on the track, setting the e-brake while the on track timer continues on. Come back later and continue the lap and get credit for all that time your car was just sitting there. As you are probably aware, I am disabled so all I do pretty much for on average of about 8 hours a day, sometimes more, is play GT. I mostly hot lap and I myself only have around 950 hours actual driving time. In my opinion, you'd have to be an absolute recluse and play GT every moment you are awake to get those insanely high hours of actual driving time, which is possible, but I highly doubt it. I tend to believe people are using the "park and wait", as I'll call it, to achieve those insanely high hours.
