I own a 1969 Chevy Nova SS with a 396cid engine.. and I am one of those unfortunate ones that do not have theit car in GT5. Maybe next time..

I've got a '99 Audi S4 in-game as it's the closet to my real life A4.

I also spent ages checking the UCD to get a Nissan March (Micra) and then used a silver paint chip to make it the right colour.

That was about two weeks ago. A couple of days ago my daughter did this on an icy road to work...

My exact car is in the game, the 2008 Fiat 500 1.2 8V Lounge. In the game, however, it's listed as a 1.2 8V SS Lounge. The SS is only available on the Abarth 500!

Exterior
Anyway more to the point, the model in the game is very accurate. It's a little too tall to be 100% accurate, but the lights, body parts etc. are near perfect. The car in the game has added side rubbing strips, reverse sensors and chrome mirrors which are optional extras on the 500 but again they are very accurate.

Interior
Faultless from what I've seen so far. The game accurately recreates the rev counter and trip computer, as well as the radio unit and leather wheel. The interior is based upon on the Ivory interior option instead of the black, but being the Lounge model this makes sense. Another good feature is that the dashboard strip changes colour when you change the exterior colour, just like when you spec up the real car.

Wheels
Spot on. They could do with being more 'metallic' but even the chrome center caps are present.

Performance & Handling
Again, very accurate. The car loves being revved and the engine always feels eager. It turns in fairly sharply, just like the real thing, but then you get a large amount of body roll and a fun level of grip for such a small, rolly car.

I'm one of the lucky ones. I own a 2007 NFR S2000 so in the game I purchased the '06 model (same color of course). I feel like the stock tires in the game (comfort soft) aren't comparable to the OEM Bridgestones though. Given other comparable sports cars (370Z for example) come with "sport hard" tires whereas IRL the tires they come with are basically the same (from a performance perspective).

Pic of mine at Carolina Motorsports Park:

I've upgraded my S2000's tires to Dunlop Direzza Z1 Star Specs 225/255. What does everyone think would be comparable in the game to that? I'm guessing Sport Hard or maybe Sport Medium. I also wish the game allowed for brake upgrades. I love the feel and performance of my track pads over the OEM ones I still use for street duty.

Sadly my other car, a 1992 Integra GS-R, is not in the game. No big deal, but when crap cars like a 1988 Honda Accord Coupe are included instead it really makes me say WTF. Anyway, it's had a rough life from autoxing. Below are 2 pics of me being a holligan with it around a RallyX track:drool:

I'm very upset that my Audi A5 is not in the game.
What have PD been doing since GT4? This car needs to be added ASAP!

My 2004 Viper srt-10 convertible didn't make the cut. the 2006 in the game is almost the same but its a hardtop.

I will say they nailed the sound, in game car sounds just like mine. The in game drive does not really compare to the real thing though.

BMW M5 '08. Spitting image. Even the image on the i-drive appears in the game. Truly amazing.

I've driven a Volkswagen GTI '08 in real life and the '05 version is pretty similar. Once I upgrade the game version with turbo and some exhaust, the speeds are pretty similar.

Had a 2003 Z4. Smashed it. Have a 2003 BMW 330Ci. I don't know if it's in the game or not. Nice M3s, fellas. Very cool.

Yup it in the game but just the body not the heart, sadly I don't drive a dc2 type r, I drive a dc4 ls that look like a dc2 R...lol

Somewhat... My 08 STi comes with the EJ257 2.5L engine with a single scroll turbo instead of the EJ207 2.0L Twin scroll turbo.

Real Life

Gran Turismo Life

My previous cars were a 1996 Nissan 240SX (S14) and a 2007 Ford Mustang GT both in the game in some form or another so I got lucky.

I've got a white '06 STi lightly modded and the '05 Spec C is almost the exact car except for the power delivery(too linear, no turbo lag), tendency to understeer(I can get mine to break loose in second pretty easily with sticky Direzza Star Specs in 18/245 with DCCD in auto) and of course the redline. I've driven the JDM 2.0 twin scroll motor and found it to boost faster but run out of steam around 5500 while the USDM seems to hit boost around 3k with no downpipe or 2.5 with DP and pull till fuel cutoff. The US motor feels like it could keep going. Also the Spec C is a little lighter.

I remember the '04 in GT4 was almost like cheating. Mildly tuned in the low 400hp range it was unbeatable in the single player races. Unfair grip. My other car was a '95 Zenki 240sx. Oddly enough that car with a mildly modded KA 2.4L felt very close to the 2.0T motor in GT5 in terms of speed #'s.

I really wish they'd add the 3rd gen Prelude to the game, they were hugely popular in Japan back in the day as a "date car". Mine had the JDM B20A so if they added it to the game it would be exactly the same. Such a fun little car for FWD.

I'm also a little upset at the offerings for the modern and classic MINI's. I really like the clubman and wish they'd add the JCW models!

Bring on the DLC!! I'll pay $$ for these cars a la carte!!

I also had a '69 VW type 1 with twin webbers, cam, exhaust, etc. Nothing like the 1100 in the game, even modded. The exterior is very close not counting the exterior differences from the difference in model years present. I also had an '81 Celica GT 5 speed. In game the JDM '81 is the '82 and up for US I believe. The Celica in game is sadly, much better than the one I owned. That 22R was torquey & reliable if nothing else though.

Bnr32 gtr. Looks and feels amazing in gt5. Mine was pushing out 350 bhp in real life so I had a chance to feel what it would have been if it had been 500 haha

Also had an s13 Silvia k's club which is pretty close to the premium s13 diamond selection. Similar but my real life car was amazing.

85 celica supra which I'm currently driving I haven't had a chance to drive the one I the game that's close. Have it just haven't driven it

The only other one that matters would be my 86 BMW e30. I loved that car and I have yet to see it in gt5

i drive 2 DSMs,,sadly my 1g talon tsi/eclipse gsx is not in the game (only a picture of one in the museum cards)

I drive a 09 civic now and have also driven the 09 Si, so the cockpit is nearly the same as the Civic type-R in the game. I'm also in the process of buying an 06+ s2000, which I've driven two of in real life and it's just incredible.

I actually drove an 07 350z and an s2000 back to back in real life and HAD to try it in game, and they really did a great job in GT5 with these cars.

I agree with OP about the experience of banging out gears 1-4 in the s2000 in real life versus the game. IRL you have so much engine noise, and when vtec kicks at 6000 it's quite noticeable, all the while your heart is pumping - making sure there's no police around, etc etc... but in the game you're just pressing buttons.

I have a '01 VW Golf GLS w/ 1.8T. Just noticed the other day that the premium '01 GTI in the game is actually a 4-door, so it matches perfectly except for a 'GTI' badge on the back instead of '1.8T'. The Mk IV GTIs in the U.S. were all 2-door, so it probably is the same car. The color even looks pretty good, although it is called something different from mine. Might be a shade too light.

Performance-wise it is a little weak in the game. VW claimed 150 HP for the 1.8T, it comes in at 143 fresh from the dealer in the game. Problem is, 150 is widely regarded as a lowball figure - they rated it there to make it look significantly better than the base 115 HP 4, and to keep from eating too much into sales of the more expensive VR6, which at the time was rated at only 174 HP (this was bumped up to 201 HP with a new head in '02 or '03 IIRC, and the 1.8T was bumped up to claimed 170 or 180 depending on the application).

In any case, upgraded the engine in-game to ~165 HP and it feels okay. Looks spot-on except for the wheels.

No 2011 Subie Outback in the game, but not complaining on that score - I like it, but not exactly a choice piece of machinery to take to the track.

i drive a Toyota yaris in real life! And i can tell you now the's no difference at all with the real one and the one in gt5! The both look and drive RUBBISH! :(

I might get a Lotus Carlton in a few years so Im driving one in GT5 :D

I've been in a few over the years and a very well looked after one is insanely quick even by today's standards. But remember Lotus tuned them , but Vaxhual built them!
