Now we need a thread because of GT5's improved sounds.

Your choice of surround sound.

TV speakers
2.1 Sound system
5.1 or 5.2 sound system
7.1 or 7.2 sound system
9.1 or 9.2 sound system

50 inch phillips full HD hooked into 5.1 surround with sub-woofer, does the job, prolouge looks great on it so in 7-8 hours when I come home from gamestop with my Collectors Edition im expecting magic:)!

20 inch Acer. No HDMI port but it still supports 720p which I thought was standard.

Thought so hard about that TV, but could not do it, due to the input lag.

I hate input lag.

Messing with the MotionFlow, Local Dimming, Game Mode, etc you can get it pretty dialed in. Hasn't been much of a problem, and the clarity is ridiculous. People we're scooping them up at 3k+ and now you can find one for half that. 👍

50" Samsung 720p DLP with sony 6.1 surround. I like to hear the car behind me. ;)

I have a 40" 1080p Samsung, BUT since my Wheelstand Pro isn't here yet, I've hooked up my PS3 to my second monitor via DMI - a Samsung P2250 - so that I can use my wheel on my PC desk. It'll do me for the Thanksgiving period. :)

my 27" 1080p 120Hz LCD computer monitor, HDMI connection. PC is connected with DVI, so i just switch back and forth as needed

I've been in the TV-set market for years and I still haven't decided which one I'll buy for GT5 (and DVD/BD movies and PC occasionally). I've tried few sets but it was pure disappointment in every case. I hope my next choice will finally satisfy my needs. I'm considering Panasonic TX-L37D28ES LED TV and Sharp Aquos LC-40LX810 Quattron LED TV and I can't make the final decision.

TX-L37D28ES is quite expensive these days, so I'll wait till the price drops a little and I believe that this price drop will make the decision itself instead of me. :) I prefer Panasonic over Sharp.

Plasma is excluded from my list because of my sensitivity on phosphor trailing. Sharp LC-40LX810E is said to have extremely low input lag, but I'm afraid of backlight clouding and pixel matrix seemed pretty visible to me when I observed the set in the store (and honestly, I dislike it's design too, but it's not a serious issue). Sharp LC-40LE705EV would be a great choice either if it wouldn't have too hight response time. Panasonic TX-L37D28 was my next object of interest then, but it received quite negative review saying it has poor black levels, but I'm ready to swallow it.

Which one of these would you take personally?

SHARP man, with no room for doubts. Especially if you refer to the quattron, only a 5000€ full led local diming (SAMSUNG top tv) could be able to best it.

At my place: Panasonic PT-AX200E projector on a 120" fixed screen, Logitech Z5500 surround of headphones (Philips HP890, HP2000 and Sennheiser HD490). The home cinema room is the only one finished right now.

At my GF's: Sony 46" W5500 lcd, sound through some headphones or my pair of Kef iQ5se which I lent out to her parents until my living room is livable (lol).

I'm debating on getting either a dedicated 27" monitor or a 32" lcdtv for my pending playseat setup though.

I have several to choose from, but my Olivia 37" LCD seams to be the best size for my Playseat EVO setup. The 52" and 47" both are to big for as close as the seat is.

Epson 8500UB projector
Elite Cinetension 106" screen

Sometimes I'll move the PS3 to the office and use my NEC EA231WMi-BK 23" monitor. It's not polite to hog the home theater!
