Well after a lot of recommendation I bought the ZR1 and RM'd it. I have tried it on 'like the wind' and GT Allstars. Its absolutely awful, its extremely slow compared to my GT-R and handles a lot worse. So the credits i was saving for a PROPER race car i have now wasted. Well looks like a few more pointless races to win the 800k I have just blown.

I agree. I was expecting fireworks after all the positive things other players, most likely Americans I now realise, had said about it. Still, at least I got a trophy for the 300 odd grand I wasted on its RM conversion.

I disagree 100% Make sure u max tune it after the RM uppgrade.

I used max downforce and won like the wind with +15 sec.

What trophy was that?

"Money spent on most useless mod?"

I will avoid the ZR1 by any chance. Just personal, but I do not really like it.

I have the car and love it to death, but I wouldnt use it in those 2 races, sinces its way out classed. If you thought you could use a GT car against LMPs and GTP, youhave to be very good and very precise or you'll get wiped (as I would) ;)

Remember, that car wasnt designed to race against cars like the R10, C60, and 908. The ZR1 RM is a GT2 shell running a GT1 engine, so its competition should be the C5R and GTSRs in the game, probably the Zonda R as well (Real life would see the DBR9s, S7Rs, 550s, RGTs, GT-Rs).

The ZR-1 is a brilliant car, in real life it made bits of the GT-Rs record on the 'Ring and it wasn't even that clean a lap.

Plus, they look awesome.

My ZR-1 won like the wind races with ease buy well over 10 decode and also was easily able to win the GT All-stars.

The car has alot of grip and can be setup very well to be well capable of over 900bhp when fully modded.

I must be driving the wrong car then! As i thought the ZR1 RM was one of the nicest handling cars i've driven on the game. Clearly some people have the wing settings wrong as this does effect the way it drives drastically.

Go back to your city cars!

I think the ZR1 is a god send. It absolutely destroys the American Championship, both Laguna and Indy. Nice wee flicks of the tail and on the gas before ripping your face off your skull with the speed.

You cannot just change the oil and race mod it, you need all the tuning parts to really unlock its full potential. A mistake I made on my first attempt of the American champ'. Now for Indy she'll hit 216mph and ride the corners at about 180+.

Often winning with 8 seconds or more to spend.

Keep going with it, when I first got it the acceleration blew me away but you get used to it. As with any car just practice and bear with it, if you put the time in you'll find one of the quickest, funnest non-race cars on the game!

Well, yes, true in real life but the AI in the game is just so bad and slow, that's why a car like the Corvette works in those races. Very good car for GT All Stars and Like the Wind if you don't want to spend a lot of money, but yes it's a shame it's unrealistic.

Yeah, the sheer grip it has when tuned properly is unbelievable. Mine does around 224 and 200-205 in the corners on Indy though.

Mod it up, add the race kit, and its credits well spent.

Superb car that does the business in like the wind, quite easliy.

Adjust for max downforce!

I even think the ZR1 RM is almost a cheater car, since it is much cheaper than buying many "race" cars. I took down Like the Wind Daytona in 2 tries (whereas I was getting nowhere in my Furai), and any other time I've used it it makes mincemeat of the competition. Its a bit twitchy and requires smooth inputs or it will snap back at you, but man when you have it right it is one powerful ride.

It seemed very overated to me also. I spent along time getting the credits to not only buy it then racemode it, then buy everyother part going. Mr B-Spec man cant win crap with it, and I got faster cars which cost me a ton less which I enjoy driving! The result of this was I gave it away for free zzz

All I did with mine was RM. The 700some HP it has is fine. While it doesn't obliterate everything, wins were very manageable with the car. (and I'm definitely far from the best driver here). That said, haven't handed it over to Bob yet hehe.

Woah, what? The ZR1 RM is one of my favourite cars, though that may be favouritism as it's earned me many millions of credits... I thought it was great fun to drive, even on hard tyres, if you're going fast enough it's just glued to the road. Unlike, say, the Zonda R (which I also completely love).

ZR-1 RM is an immense car in my opinion. I absolutely love it. I bought one, Race modded it and then tuned it a little (just by altering settings). It is an absolute joy to drive.

I love my ZR1 RM.
Get the suspension tuned right and the transmission and it flies round corners and on teh circuit dlesarthe no chicanes straight i can get it upto a steady 234mph, i won 'like the wind' and 'amercian championship' easily with it and on indy circuit it goes round the corners around 190-205mph and in all fairness i'm pretty crap at car tuning so am sure it would be a lot better if one teh proper tuning guys get their mits on it.
Each to their own i think but for me its deffinitly the best RM car

The ZR1 RM is the perfect car for Grinding at Indy in the American Championship It's also great for developing b-spec drivers too. I'll agree that it's not the car for "Like the Wind" as I never had any success with it there, but for most other things, it's a favorite of mine.

You people are nuts. The ZR1 RM smokes race cars and it was no challenge to beat GT All-Stars or Like The Wind. Nuts.

I thought it was overrated at first, but then I realised the RM didn't install all the tune mods. After adding it all, it destroyed pretty much everything. Just used it for the Dreamcar Championship and was fun to drive 👍

The ZR1 is amazing, I've had no problems with destroying the competition with it. It is definitely one of my favorite cars to drive.

Disagree big time. My RM ZR1 (post tune) was more then a match for the Like the Wind series. In fact, I won easily.

Perhaps it's your set up for the vehicle, or dare I say, your driving?

Indeed Kalspuffar, indeed.👍

Great car for the American Championship, but wasn't impressed in the 'Like The Wind' race. My Zonda R was much better in that race....

My ZR1 RM has over 50 wins and 10,000 miles on my setup. Can you tell I like it? haha

And it's not just me, about 30 wins are accredited to Bspec - this is my car for alot of the endurance series races. It's easy on the tires and gas and out runs everyone. Torque is great!

If you don't like this car you don't have it set up properly. This thing is an absolute weapon with the right driver and setup.

Tune the settings is my answer...
