Well done in all shots zzz, in my opinion you have some of the top compositions on GTP even tho I'm strugling to understand what's a good or a bad composition; I just like how things are placed in your photos. And my theme's CCCL winner, you did the anime justice, great shot, I know I didn't vote for you but forgive me. :D 👍

Really like the contrast between the blue car and the orange background and it's a really good picture overall. 👍 I just don't understand that hard passage in the bottom left side of the picture (difference in blurriness) in the road.

I can identify that as a deliberate effect to a) add a bit more contrast to the picture and b) make the shafts of sunlight look more realistic. The transition between the (weak and strong) parts of the blur could have been smoother, as you say. 👍

You've been forgiven :D Now seriously, thank you. I think composition is one of the most important things in photography (if not the most important). In every poll competitions the first thing I note is composition in fact... :)

I like the contrast on the effect (blur/focused) to add more DoF and somehow to add sat the same time some detail to the shadows closer to the focal point/plan. And yes, I agreed it could be smoother. :) Thank you for your feedback GT-R. 👍



Aston GT100 (100th AM anniversary) It took more time than what it looks hehe I add/remove some little details in the car(7 to be more precise... I dare you to find it all :D)

I dont have the pen tool in Photoshop Elements 8, so I couldn't do a better clean up...
 
Nice edit on the Aston and the TVR, with your skills you should give Gimp a try to increase the quality of your standard cars ;)

As far i can see you have removed the logo from back, and added some dust or dirty effect. Together with blur and sense of speed i really feel it!!
 
Aston shot is awesome! 👍 As is your Speed 12 entry - I thought, 'oh no' when I first saw it as it was the same colour and a parked shot like my own, but I was already too far into editing mine to change for something different. You have done a very nice job of cleaning it up - especially without the use of a 'pen' tool. The process is pretty straight forward in GIMP so you should definitely give it a go sometime if you can - with your skills you should be able to produce spectacular results. ;)

I've tried to download and instal GIMP but when I open it doesn't show any window/page/buttons etc :S
I'll try to do it again since it's free and easy to use... :)

The first picture does it for me. I like the fact that the headlights are showing. The amount of noise is perfect and the composition is good, too. Colours look true-to-life and the smooth colour transition of the sky further adds to the realism of the picture.
 
I really like your recent work Ricardo. This VW shot is splendid (i love this spot and you've perfectly used it :) )
