Forza Horizon 4 Season Change: Around The World

As the rain begins to pour across the UK, a brand new Autumn season is revving up to take charge at the festival in Forza Horizon 4. Players are prepared to brave the muddy elements as there’s more events waiting to be conquered.

Some exotic machinery from across the globe permeate throughout the prize pool, along with more rewards in store for completing the Autumn playlist to the goals of 50% and 80%.

Power Trip

Making its presence known leading the playlist completion rewards is the 1968 Pontiac Firebird. Although many remember the Firebird of the 1970s, it was this first-generation model that put the name on the map.

Sharing its platform with the Camaro, Pontiac differentiated the Firebird with a new face and rear end, which ultimately improved aerodynamics. Pontiac also used different engines from the Camaro, with this particular Firebird packing a 6.6-liter V8 making 343hp and giving the established pony cars of the era a serious run for their money.

Sitting with the Firebird is the 2019 Bugatti Divo. Exclusivity is the order of the day as only 40 units were ever built. The aggressive new body pays tribute to Bugatti’s coachbuilding past, but has also been designed with downforce in mind.

Underneath, the mechanicals from the Chiron remain untouched, meaning the 8.0-liter, quad-turbocharged W16 still produces a titanic 1,479hp. The chassis has undergone some tweaks along with an 88lb weight reduction to allow this Bug to fully use its power through the corners.

Autumn’s new Photo Challenge will need you to find a couple of friends as volunteers. #HeadlineTrio wants you to snap your car along with two other players or Drivatars in front of the main stage at the festival site. Prizes for championships feature monsters such as the Rimac Concept Two and Hoonigan Ford RS200

A highlight of the prizes is the 2009 Vauxhall Corsa VXR. The smallest hot hatch the marque has made employs the trademark VXR aggression in its performance.

Along with flared arches, new front bumper and rear diffuser, the VXR certainly makes itself stand out from the crowd. Under the hood sits a 1.6-liter turbocharged engine making 189hp, making it more powerful than its rivals. The VXR insanity in the handling also demands that you drive the Corsa like you stole it.

In order to grab the Corsa, you’ll need to win the “Old Habits Die Hard” championship.

You can also get down and dirty with a Showcase Remix event this week. “Forest Sprite” will see you strapped into an Austin Healey Sprite for a charge through the forest against a team of dirt bikes.

Super7 offers up more surprises with the latest batch of randomized community-made challenges. If you can finish all seven cards, you’ll win a Disco Chicken Suit.

Forzathon Events

This week sees Forzathon put the spotlight on one of the most extreme Minis ever made: the 2013 Mini Countryman X-Raid. Climb into this Dakar winning machine in order to get started.

Next, push the Mini’s suspension to its very limit by getting a total of three Kangaroo Skills. After that, use all your technique both on and offroad to put together an Ultimate Skill Chain.

Finally, show off why the Countryman has conquered the Dakar rally by charging to victory in four Cross Country Series events.

Forzathon Shop

Toyota and Mercedes take over the shop for Autumn, with two of their most desirable models ready to be purchased, kicking off with the 2009 Mercedes SL65 AMG Black Series Forza Edition.

When a normal AMG Mercedes isn’t enough, some models get the rare opportunity to be sent to a black-ops style AMG skunkworks to receive even more power and even more madness. The SL65 is just the third model to adorn the Black Series name.

Its new widebody wouldn’t look out of place on a DTM race car, but under the skin hides a lot of upgrade work to tighten up the handling of this now former grand tourer. Over 200lb has been cut from the SL including vigorous use of lightweight composites and fixing the folding roof in place.

The 6.0-liter, twin-turbocharged V12 gets a bump in power to 661hp, making it the most powerful AMG ever made during its tenure. It also produces so much torque that a 5-speed automatic transmission is the only unit strong enough to handle all 738lbft without grenading itself. The Forza Edition also comes with a Drift Skills boost.

You’ll need to have saved up 599 Forzathon Points for the SL, which will save you a lot of effort to get a very rare Forza Edition car.

One of the most desirable Toyotas ever made is the 1969 2000GT. With styling inspired by the Jaguar E-Type, the Toyota would become one of Japan’s greatest ever cars.

This swoopy coupe was the first car built as part of a joint development between Toyota and Yamaha. The 2.0-liter straight six may make 150hp, but the slippery body ensured a satisfactory top speed of over 130mph. Toyota would also have a successful time racing the 2000GT in sports car championhips.

You’ll need another 599 FP for the Toyota, but you’ll be receiving a machine that still oozes class even when compared to more modern coupes.

New clothing items for this week are the Autumn Mittens and the XS Denim Jacket.
