We’re a matter of weeks away from a major change to the Gran Turismo 7 Weekly Challenges, so the latest new set — getting underway as your local clock crosses into Friday morning — is one of the last under the current format.
Gran Turismo 7’s Spec III update is looking pretty likely to arrive in early December, and it will bring about a change to how the Weekly Challenges operate. We’re still not wholly sure what the new events will look like, but they will include some challenges other than regular races.
Until then, this bonus game mode — available to players who’ve finished the main GT Cafe career — brings you five race events to tackle during the week. One will be a Special Event created just for the week (and seemingly these may inform the new Power Pack DLC) while the other four are existing World Circuits races, giving you a chance to mop up any you may have missed in your Dashboard. There’s also extra rewards for completing them in the seven-day window.

Gran Turismo 7 Weekly Challenges – November Week 2 Races
Japanese Clubman Cup 550 – Tokyo Expressway South Counterclockwise
Taking the low-payout slot this week is a simple event at newest of the Tokyo Expressway circuits. If you’re not familiar with the three tracks and their six layouts, this is the one with the pit lane in a parking garage two-thirds of the way round and with the triple-right section in among shipping containers. You can ignore the “550” part of the race name, which is a suggested Performance Point (PP) value for a competitive race with the lead AI, and take whatever Road or Tuned car from Japan that you want to this three-lap race. The winner’s prize is a mere 20,000cr, so don’t feel too bad about stomping the AI.
European FR Challenge 550 – Brands Hatch Grand Prix
There’s twice that on offer for the European FR Challenge 550 at Brands Hatch, despite the relatively similar performance levels. This time you’ll need a Road car from a European brand, and it needs to be front-engined and rear-wheel drive, though again the “550” of the name is not too important. Win this three-lapper for a 40,000cr wallet bump.
Special Event – Red Bull Ring
It’s the turn of the Hyundai Elantra N in the Special Event this week, with a four-lap blast around the climb and descent of Red Bull Ring. There’s no limitations besides the car, and it’s worth noting that the AI aren’t excessively tuned either; a single tire-grade bump (to Sports Mediums) is probably enough at Normal difficulty, and that doesn’t wipe out the 64,000cr prize for winning either.
World Touring Car 600 – Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta
There’s usually a World Touring Car event in the line-up, but it commonly rounds out the week’s races. This week though it’s the WTC600, which is a bit of an old-school Gran Turismo event comprising tuned Japanese road and tuner cars with the occasional European and American exotic thrown in. You however can use literally anything you want as long as it doesn’t exceed the 600PP limit, and the five laps of Road Atlanta secures you 94,000cr for the win.
Gr.1 Prototype Series – Suzuka Circuit
Instead we’re finishing off with the Gr.1 Prototype Series this week, but don’t be fooled by the name. All you need is a car equipped with Racing tires — and we will vigorously recommend getting some wet weather ones too — and within the 950PP cap to take part. It’s a ten-lap event at Suzuka, with some stiff tire wear and fuel consumption multipliers as well as the possibility of rain. 175,000cr awaits you at the checkered flag, should you get there first…

The three bonuses are presented in the form of tickets which you will need to redeem from your Garage’s Gifts to claim the rewards they hold. This week it’s two sets of credit tickets and a special roulette ticket.
Completing any one of the events this week awards a 100,000cr ticket, with a 200,000cr ticket for finishing any three. Check off all five events this week and it’s a Six-Star Car ticket, offering a car from Brand Central worth 500,000cr or more — which includes the Invitation-only cars.
You’ll need to have completed GT Cafe Menu Book 39 and watched the ending movie in order to have access to the Weekly Challenges. The events update at midnight local time on Friday mornings, so we’d expect the next set on the morning of Friday November 21.
