Polestar 5 Revealed in Special Gran Turismo 7 Livery as Promotional Push Ramps Up

Polestar has presented a new special Gran Turismo 7 livery on its real-world, pre-production Polestar 5 as part of an ongoing promotional tie-in leading up to the car’s official launch.

While the Polestar 5 has been with us in GT7 since the Spec III launch in December 2025, European customers are having to twiddle their thumbs to get hold of the real thing until the spring. That means that if you’ve placed your £104,900 ($143,500) order for the Performance Launch Edition — a £89,500 ($122,500) Dual Motor Launch Edition is also available — you’ll need a console with GT7 to drive it.

Handily, Polestar is enabling exactly that by setting up driving rigs at its various “Spaces” dotted around certain markets. Players and prospective owners can drop in and drive the Polestar 5, and it was at one of these Spaces that the brand revealed this unique livery model.

The car was presented at Polestar Vienna, and actually formed part of a special competition that would see players setting competitive laptimes on the driving rigs for a chance to win a trip to the annual FAT Ice Race in Zell am See — where Polestar will be exhibiting this Polestar 5.

Kazunori Yamauchi also attended the grand final, on January 28, in person to present the winner’s trophy and see the car’s unusual yellow-and-black take on the classic two-stripe GT logo. That came ahead of his own trip back to Zell am See — where he’s previously visited the home of the Porsche family and birthplace of Ferdinand Porsche, with FAT Ice Race founder Ferdi Porsche — for the ice race event.

We doubt that this is a one-and-done situation, with Polestar creating the wrap and Space branding for a single competition just for the Austrian market, and we’re expecting more promotional events to come over the next few weeks in the lead up to the car appearing on the public roads.

If you’re in Europe, keep an eye on your local Polestar branches and you might get lucky enough to snare a nice prize!
