The penultimate set of Gran Turismo 7 Weekly Challenges for January 2026 are upon us, arriving on your consoles as the clock ticks past midnight into Friday morning.
Weekly Challenges is a special bonus event for players who’ve finished the main GT Cafe mode, which features five different challenges each week. Four of these will be standard race events from World Circuits, while there’s a fifth Special Event created just for the week which may also be a race, or a time trial or mission-type challenge.
Completing the five challenges during the seven-day window awards bonus prizes on top of the regular event credits, offering a little sweetener to check off events you might have otherwise missed from your Event Directory.

Gran Turismo 7 Weekly Challenges – January Week 4 Events
European FR Challenge 550 – Red Bull Ring
This week’s starter isn’t quite so tight with the credits as recent weeks, with the European FR Challenge 550 at Red Bull Ring getting us underway. It’s a race worth some 25,000cr if you win over the three laps, requiring a front-engined, rear-wheel drive road car from a European manufacturer. Don’t sweat the “550” part of the name, which applies only as a guide to a Performance Point (PP) level for a close race with the leading AI cars.
Sunday Cup – Brands Hatch
Sunday Cup races can be a little mean in terms of credit rewards, but this one’s a relatively recent addition and offers up some 37,000cr for a mere five laps of the Brands Hatch Indy Circuit. As road cars are the only requirement, you can absolutely smash this one with an overpowered exotic or even one of the Vision GT cars that sneaks into this category. Beware of lapping backmarkers though…
Special Event – Circuit Gilles-Villeneuve
This week’s Special Event is a regular race-type, but it brings back the Hyundai Elantra N performance sedan just — as far as we can tell — its race sibling is about to join it. Most of the rival cars are in a standard state of tune, but as usual that leading yellow machine has the legs of the others so you might need to make a couple of little tweaks if you want the 72,000cr winner’s prize for victory over the four-lap race at the new Circuit Gilles-Villeneuve.
American Clubman Cup 700 – Mount Panorama
We see a big bump in prize money, up to 94,000cr for winning the next event. That comes in the American Clubman Cup 700 at Mount Panorama, over a mere five laps of this challenging course. You can use any road or pre-tuned car (the latter representing the various SEMA GT Award winners) from an American brand for this one, again with the “700” of the name referring to a PP level for a fair fight with the lead AI and not a limitation on your car selection.
Gr.1 Prototype Cup – Circuit de Sainte-Croix
We’re off to the fictional Circuit de Sainte-Croix for the finale this week, in the Gr.1 Prototype Cup. The name is actually a bit of a fudge, as you don’t really need a Gr.1 car for this event. In fact any car will do so long as it’s beneath the 950PP limit and uses Racing Tires. It’s a long eight laps of the huge C course, so beware of high fuel consumption and tire wear multipliers — though the tire wear rate isn’t that bad for this one, it’s still a lot of distance — with 210,000cr at stake for victory.

Weekly Challenges also offer up bonus rewards that increase in value the more events you complete. These aren’t fixed week to week, but all rewards are sent as tickets to your Garage’s Gifts section, from where you’ll to need to redeem them before they expire.
This week’s rewards start with the usual two offerings, comprising a 100,000cr ticket for completing any one event, and a 200,000cr ticket for finishing any three. However the final reward this week is rare Six-Star Car ticket, which can only award you a Brand Central car worth at least 480,000cr — and that includes Invitation-only cars.
In order to have access to the Weekly Challenges you’ll need to have completed GT Cafe Menu Book 39 and watched the ending movie. The events update at midnight local time on Friday mornings, so we’d expect the next set of the new-look events on the morning of Friday January 30.
