As we draw closer to Project Motor Racing’s launch on November 25, Straight4 Studios came to this year’s Gamescom with a new trailer and details to boot.
While probably not much of a surprise, given its appearance on the game’s current cover art, the trailer immediately not only confirms the Green Hell itself, the Nurburgring Nordschleife, while also displaying the game’s weather system for the first time.
This is a small part of the game’s “True2Track” feature that will bring dynamic time and weather, in addition to an adaptive racing line and drying that will evolve with surface conditions across the game’s laser-scanned circuits.
Within the first 20 seconds, the trailer also confirms that Porsche — again previously glimpsed but not explicitly verified — will be joining PMR’s roster of racing machinery. In total the video reveals five Porsche models, confirming the two we’d already spotted along with some big names from the brand’s racing history: the 917K, 962C, 911 GT1, GT3 R, and the current 963 LMDh prototype.

Ford is another major confirmation for the game’s roster, confirming the Blue Oval’s 2024 Mustang GT4 machine in addition to the previously seen Zakspeed Ford Capri from the launch day Group 5 DLC pack.
Additional newcomers include the Aston Martin Valkyrie AMR-LMH and AMR Vantage GT3 racing cars. Interestingly, the eight cars revealed in the trailer also reconfirms that GT1 and Group C machinery will feature in the game’s “10+” signature racing classes; the “golden age” of GT racing then, indeed.
Alongside the weather system and car reveals, previously unseen tracks are now confirmed as well. With the likes of the previously mentioned Nurburgring Nordschleife (and the GP circuit) making the cut, as well as Circuit de Spa Francorchamps, Monza, and Mount Panorama (Bathurst) all set to feature in the racing sim.
Somewhat less obvious is a brief glimpse of the Donington Park circuit too, appearing in a five-second scene just before the minute mark. However the lack of overt signage might hint at the track bearing a different name in the same vein as the “Northampton” circuit already revealed.

If the music accompanying the trailer sounds remotely familiar, it should. While the underlying notes date all the way back to 2005’s GTR FIA GT Racing Game and its sequel, “Spa 24 Hours” (and all its variations) featured prominently in the Project CARS franchise. This, however, appears to be a new mix for PMR that gives the game a unique yet familiar feeling all on its own.
We’re just over 3 months away from Project Motor Racing releasing on PC, Xbox Series consoles, and the PlayStation 5 on November 25. Straight4 has already outlined what the game’s first year of add-on content will look like: over 30 new cars and 4 new tracks, including the legendary Circuit de la Sarthe, host to the 24 Hours of Le Mans.
Stay tuned for more details as they’re available as we close in on the game’s launch!
