Forza Horizon and Forza Motorsport could be set for a shock switch to PlayStation, as rumors swirl around Microsoft’s intentions to develop its previously Xbox-exclusive titles for other consoles.

Forza Motorsport has come away from The Game Awards 2023 with two trophies for Innovation in Accessibility and Best Sports/Racing Game, while the Gran Turismo series missed out in both the categories for which it was nominated.

Forza Motorsport is the eighth title in the Forza Motorsport series, and the 14th Forza game, since the launch of the original Forza Motorsport in 2005.

A special Xbox & Bethesda “Developer_Direct” presentation is coming on Wednesday January 25, with Forza Motorsport among the upcoming games showcased for to Xbox, PC and Game Pass.

Microsoft is set to show off new titles in a special Xbox & Bethesda Games Showcase on June 12, potentially including more information on the Forza Motorsport reboot and the first expansion pack for Forza Horizon 5.

Last week Digital Foundry paid a visit to the Microsoft campus in Redmond, Washington for the first technical overview of the hardware powering the next Xbox, Project Scorpio. As you’ve probably heard by now, all eyes of the automotive world were on the North American International Auto Show this Monday for the unveiling of the new Ford GT. It’s a radical car, set to produce more than 600HP from a twin-turbocharged 3.5-liter EcoBoost V-6 engine, complete with a full carbon-fiber body and active aerodynamics to compete with Europe’s finest.
