It took about 40 laps to get a handle on the throttle control. I used TC to get a feel for it and then stopped using it.

This combo looks cool, I have said I was going to run the previous 2 weeks but never got round to doing it because of the release of Trials Evo on Xbox and I've been hooked on that.

Need to get in to GT5 mode though for GT Academy so what better way to get used to the game then driving a Shelby Cobra around Madrid!

Just realised Madrid is the closest I have been to beating DHolland, being only a hundredth off him. That was back in my prime though on the DS3, need to find that pace again!

=EDK;7028418Are you able to take the kink leading up to T2 flat out? The back really wanted to kick out on me there, and I was giving a little lift so I could finish some laps. That's what I like about the Comfort tires, besides the fact that they are spectacularly noisy, they made every nuance of the track quite tricky.

The kink isn't all that difficult to take flat out when you are as slow as some of us. I make it about half the time without lifting. It's not really flat out though, as I use TC here, that little bump right before the kink lightens the rear enough to activate the TC so there is a slight blip in the throttle even though the pedal is planted firmly to the floor.

Also, I am not sure it really gives you much in return. The faster you are coming out of the kink, the longer the braking zone up to the last corner, so I think it's a wash.

But it sure feels good when you make it!

Regarding the kink, it's possible to take it flat out but it doesn't do anything to your time. Good throttle control works better.

EDIT:

Another session, started seeing .2 in T1 (best is .266). Best T2 so far is .720 (at checkpoint) and .350 (at split).
So there's at least 2 tenths for me to find 'till I can be happy.
