So Hamilton P1 again, Mclaren look set to dominate, hopefully. But I wonder what happened to Jenson Button, meh looked nowhere as quick as his teammate.

He was second one tenth of his team mate time so what do you mean by that???

Qualifying about to go live...

Live!

As long as no one goes significantly faster than Hamilton, looks like 107% this session will be 1:43.5. Easy peasy.

And as I say that, Vettel looks to be going much faster... nope... got held up in traffic... but just 0.14 off.

Now Webber does a 136.6. 107% now at 1:43.4. Nice of Formula1.com to have added the 107% counter to live timing... beats having to whip out the calculator...

Massa on a stormer... will he make P1? He does. Seems like the track is starting to dry out... of course, that's probably on the soft tires, so it doesn't mean much.

Maldonado getting his incidents in early this weekend. Maldonado and Kovalainen incident under investigation.

Grosjean puts in a 1:36.343 for p1 :embarrassed:

edit: and alonso, and then perez beat him (both on softs, not sure about grosjean)

1:36.198 for perez

Times going even further down... Perez now on top. Vettel is uncomfortably close to relegation... but I don't see any of those guys below him knocking him out.

Interesting. Kobayashi squeaked through on medium tires. Perez resorted to soft ones. 0.66 second difference... close to the predicted tire differential.

Not till after qualifying. If he poles, as he likely will, he'll start in 6th. Not a big problem. He's still the best positioned driver to lead the championship by the end of this race.

Everyone on the softs now, expect the times to return to normal. Kobayashi might have an advantage in Q3 (if he makes it) considering he used primes in Q1.

Still hurts, starting on pole gives you the chance to start well and build a gap, but 6th isn't too bad.

Times going down... fast... Kamui frst below 1:36, all the front runners there comfortably... Ferrari... might... be in trouble here...

Ouch... Grosjean scuppers his quick lap.

Vettel having trouble getting his times to stick, Raikonnen in 4th behind hamilton and the mercedes at the moment and Kamui in 5th

Alonso coming out now, sitting on tenth with a 1:36.7 (full second behind Rosberg)

Massa near a full second behind alonso's time and 2 seconds behind rosberg, both ferrari's out for a hotlap.

Alonso .1 behind in sector 1, .06 in sector 2

Alonso with a 1:35.9 into 6th, Massa a 1:36.25 into 10th
Senna 0.03 behind Massa's time, Maldonado .024 behind, Massa safe in 10th

EDIT: Perez takes third and drops Massa down to 11th (1:35.831)

Webber with a 1:35.7 for 1st, vettel knocked to 11th by grosjean!

Red Bull should be safe. It's Alonso and Massa who need to pull off perfect laps to stay in the hunt. Massa is on another hot lap, though.

Alonso 6th... Massa 10th... not good enough... 1:36.255... he could still get relegated...

Massa out... shocker... VETTEL IS OUT!

Waited too long to do his second lap... and he botched it. Rubbish. :grumpy:
