Your definition of cheat is wrong too i'd say, but you don't see me running to the dictionary, try not going off-topic again and give proof that you aren't just a sore loser who couldn't come up with this trick yourself, so i guess you guys run max toe on front and rear in real life too right?
Please, a response that's not off topic, or i'll just report it.
The definition of cheat isn't open to debate, it's from a dictionary. You gona try and say the dictionary got it wrong? You want me to prove im not a sore loser because I wasn't the first to figure it out. That's impossible, and of course I wasn't the first to figure it out, but once It was made public it didnt take me long to figure out how to do it, and im sure many other figured it out soon after it was made public, I mean the clue is in the name "E cheat, you know, like "E-brake"?
You wan't to discuss unrealistic tunning techniques now too? Sure ok, lets do that. Of course I dont run crazy toe angles in real life, and I dont have a magical downforce wing that works at max efficancy from 0mph. I also dont go to my local mechanic and ask "i'll have your finest tranny flip please".
Do you want to know why these things are most likely accepted as "legit" ways to drag tune in GT5? (as much as I think it's stupid that this is how we have to tune to make a car fast) It's because the GT5 drag scene is not an officaly suported style of racing by PD so the unoffical rules and regulations come from majority of the player base uses this product. Now you might come back and say "oh but there is the speed test that's an offical drag mode"
No it isn't, it's a time trial, or as it says on the tin a "Speed Test" no drag racing involved it is impossible to use the speed test to drag RACE another player. This is not me saying that Indy is the offical way either, I belive I agree with you on the point that the fact I have to get online and go to Indy and show how good or bad my internet connection is as a way to prove im legit is stupid. But Indy is where it all started for this game and that can't be denied. And it would be expected that Indy is where the unoffical rules for this unoffical drag racing mode are developed.
Nothing in GT5 drag racing is offical, it's built and based upon player decided rule sets that the majority decided what should and shouldn't be used. If the majority view it as a cheat, it will be considerd to be a cheat. You dont agree it's a cheat, thats fine you can still use it, noones goin to stop you, there are plenty of players now that use it and im sure you can find a nice select few to race with, so why does it bother you so much if you're viewed a cheater? They don't know you in person (I doubt) and it doesn't effect your day to day life does it? Or is the aprroval of others so important that you must be accepted?
In the eyes of many "pros" i'm probably considerd a fake drag racer / tuner as all I do is tune in the speed test and submit times, I dont race online at Indy, my internet isn't good enough. Regardless of what people think of me and if im a "legit" drag racer doesn't bother me one bit, i'll continue to submit times and try and beat the top spot, if your Indy tune can beat my speed test tune at Indy then good for you, my speed test tune will probably get a faster time than that same Indy tune on the speed test.
