My phone makes this car look almost premium. Does it look good on a larger screen?
For some reason it looks better in-game than on my computer screen here from Photomode photos.

wow thats improved too :) keep em coming !

I'm low on credits and don't plan playing GT6 all the time, unfortunately. Actually I won't be able to play it until next weekend, as this isn't my PS3 and I have to return it back tomorrow morning. I am still not sure if I'll purchase GT6 for myself any time soon, though.

GT6...

For a standard this actually doesn't look too shabby. Better glass materials, lights and a interior and it would look like one of the earlier premium models (like the Celica rally car or the Golf MK 4)

Edit: Can someone have a look at the Delorean DMC-12 and the VW Golf MK 1? Would be much appreciated.

Photo mode flatters but it does look very clean. Still obviously a standard with the lack of detail, but nothing hideous.

Pretty much what PD said they would do.

On a different note, at some point I will update the original post to categorise some of these...

Interestingly, the only upgraded Standard Audi is the Audi S4 '98. I wonder why.

Neither have been upgraded.
No Standard VW has, actually. Yes, not even the Lupo Cup car.

thanks shirakawaa for the fast answer.

My personal hope is, that some standard cars did not get reworked because there's a premium model planned or in the making. In my mind it makes only sense to rework a car if it won't be replaced anytime soon by a better model.

I think its highly possible now that I have seen so much progress

Never really thought of that. Maybe that could be a reason for the still bad looking Supra RZ.

Maybe not Premium Premium but at least they convert more Standards to this new Premiumised Standard car thing...whatever :)

I saw the 390 GT1, nice improvement on one of the must ugly standards in GT5. Any other relevant standard race car improved? JGTC any improvement?

the Arta NSX '00 in the BH night race video looked pretty good to me

I mean, if you look at the list many of those cars are pretty unlikely to become premium (like the Opels or the RUFs) and other cars like the FTO were iconic back in the day, but are kind of forgotten now and will most probably never ever get a premium version at all.

Still makes you wonder what PD have been doing for the past 10ish years. :indiff: Maybe it takes them 10 years to model a premium Supra down to the very bolt :lol::lol:
